I WAS AFRAID YA'LL WAS GOING TO SAY SOMETHING LIKE THIS. I LIKE GAMM'YS BETTER TO FISH WITH BUT THEY ARE A LITTLE PRICEY FOR A BEGINNER JIG MAKER LIKE ME. JUST BITE THE BULLET I GUESS.

I LIKE TO PUT EYES ON MINE. JUST TAKE A SMALL WOODEN STICK AND ROUND IT DOWN ONE LARGE AND ONE VERY SMALL. JUST DIP AND TOUCH THE JIG WITH THE LARGE ONE THEN LET IT DRY THEN DIP AND TOUCH THE SMALL ONE FOR THE CENTER. ITHEN DIP THE JIG IN LAQUER BUT THIS DOESN'T WORK VERY WELL. THE LAQUER AND EYES BUMP OFF WHEN FISHING AND HAS TO BE DONE AGAIN ON FOOTBALL JIGS ALSO THE LAQUER TURNS FLAT IF YOU CAN FIND A CLEAR EPOXY THAT MIGHT WORK LET ME KNOW HOW YOU DO. I JUST DID SOME WITH STICK ON EYES FROM BARLOWS BUT I HAVEN'T FISHED THEM YET.

I BOUGHT A TUBE JIG MOLD FROM EBAY THAT USES A STEEL WEEDGUARD. ANYONE KNOW WHAT GAUGE NYLON COATED WIREI I SHOULD USE AND WHERE TO GET IT ?
  11. NAIL POLISH IS LAQUER PAINT= IT IS THE SAME THING AS IN SPRAY CANS. GET A QUART OF DEFT CLEAR LAQUER AT LOWS OR SOME PLACE AND DIP YOUR LURES A COUPLE TIMES AFTER PAINTING FOR A LONGER LIFE. ( POWDER PAINT IS BETTER )
  12. WHAT SIZE ARE THE HICHICKERS LARGE OR MED.
  13. THOSE HOOKS LOOK BIGGER THAN MINE AND SHORTER WHAT ARE THEY
  14. soak em overnight in laquer thinner that should remove the paint or at least make it easy to rub off. i powder painted some of mine, it worked pretty good.
