MUSTAD PROBLEM

Featured Replies

ANYONE ELSE HAVING TROUBLE GETTING MUSTAD JIG HOOKS? BARLOWS OR DO-IT DOESEN'T HAVE THEM AND DO-IT SAID IT MAY BE JUNE BEFORE THEY GET THEM IN.

4/0 60 deg up bend eye.  Yep, no one has them.  They are all backordered.  I need some too.  I think I have 5 left.   :-/

The story I heard is the machine that makes them was being changed out or something like that so they will be hard to get for a few months.

Glad I stocked up!

I heard they are moving their production facilities and it may be awhile before they are back up and running.

I WAS AFRAID YA'LL WAS GOING TO SAY SOMETHING LIKE THIS. I LIKE GAMM'YS BETTER TO FISH WITH BUT THEY ARE A LITTLE PRICEY FOR A BEGINNER JIG MAKER LIKE ME. JUST BITE THE BULLET I GUESS.

I switched from Mustad to Gamas on my baits 60 deg flat eye. I have been told by Gama that they are back ordered for 3 to 4 months. I got some 5.0 and all my 3.0 but still waiting on the 4.0. They where going to stop making these hooks and then they have taken off with the Chatter style and shakey heads.

So they are having to get geared back up.

I have used both the Mustad and Gamakatsu(sp?) hooks and cannot tell the difference? Once I had both hooks seperated into different piles why pouring and the box was knocked over. I just said f*** it and put them all together because I could not figure out what was what? The only difference is price and bragging rights if you are a hook snob?

Who you calling a hook snob. LOL

The Gama's have a flat edge on the sides and a little darker.

I like the Mustad very much to and agree, I have just had a few guys say if you going to build a product. build the best. and that Gama's where the best. I took it Hook, Line and Sinker. Now I have 3000 hooks, LOL
