There are many out there. Some are free and others charge a yearly subscription. I use auction stealer. It is a free sniper tool but keep in mind that the free version will only bid in the last 5-7 seconds unlike the paid versions which will bid in the final 1-2 seconds. I use the paid version for about three bucks a month. Do a Google search for bid sniping or auction sniping and I'm sure you will get a large list to choose from.
  2. Man, with a day like that who wouldn't be stoked. One hell of a post!! And oh BTW...congrats on the new PB. I don't think there is anyone on this board that wouldn't want to be holding that girl up. That goes double for me. Great day to say the least.
  3. That was awesome. Good questions and great pics. Seems ol' Mike is pretty down to earth.

!00% false. No worries on this issue. no..... 100% correct. look at my post. just happened to me, and ebay confirmed it. After re-reading your post I see that the winning bid was less than your max bid. Sorry about the confusion on my part. I have never been that lucky using the sniping tool. If the other guy has a higher max bid than mine then I'm out of luck because the sniper tool won't bid. It sounds like to me you were on the receiving end of a bad glitch in the Ebay system. I was not aware that it was an issue. Maybe I need to try it more often. BTW...I have a new tackle box with some lures and a three jittersticks that I just sniped off Ebay earlier this evening if you are interested. J/K.... ;D
  5. Funniest thing I've read all year. My gut still hurts. I always dream about tornados and running from them. Must be a deep seeded fear I have.

Here's the deal on the sniping issue. Let's say you want to bid on an item. You make your max bid at $100.00 with a few days to go. I see the same item and I make my max bid at $100.50 with a few days to go. The only difference between the two bids is I used an auction sniper tool. My bid is not made until the final two seconds of the aution. This gives you no time to react to the bid. I win. Now let's say your max bid is $101.00 and mine is still $100.50. You have the same high bid as before. The auction sniper tool I used will not bid now in the final two seconds of the auction because your max bid was higher. The software in the sniper tool recognizes this and cancels my lower bid because it wouldn't do any good to bid. Ebay's software recognizes the bid that the sniper tool made and you end up paying your max bid price. You win. I use a sniper tool all the time when bidding. Especially on reels. They are handy but will only bid the highest amount you specify. The bottom line is, sniper tool or not, if someone wants something bad enough, they will get it. I have found that sometimes you can't compete with stupidity. I was watching a rare Daiwa A.O.I. (only 300 made) the other night. I set the sniper up as usual. With two days to go it was over my max bid by almost $200.00. The reel ended up selling for close to $600.00. Too rich for my blood!!
  9. I don't think any of our sponsors carry the Buzzjet. Here is my suggestion. You'll have it in three days. They also carry the Buzzjet jr. http://www.***.com/descpageDEPBAIT-DBJ.html
  10. You may actually like it. Being a hillbilly and all, I have eaten my fair share of squirrel when I was younger. I haven't eaten one in years. My wife has a pet squirrel so now it would be like taking a bite out of my Labrador. :-/
  11. It jumped here today too. $3.45 a gallon. Cost me $101.00 to fill my truck up today. >

Heddon River Runt of some kind?
  13. IMHO, Berkley Lightning Rods are about the best "cheapest" rod out there. They make them in a multitude of styles and actions. Go to your local "Mart" stores and look around. They can be found about anywhere for less than $30.00.
  14. I think that is a hell of an idea.
  15. Reminds me of the day I forgot my boat keys in the garage. I realized it when I backed the boat in the water and boarded the boat. One of my finer moments in life. : :-[
  16. He has to fill in for a co-worker and cannot make the trip.
  17. I have one. A 15 year old beat up Poe's 400 crank. That crank never lets me down when I throw it. Fourbizz is painting right now to give it some new life.
  18. I never jump in front of a boat that is fishing. I expect the same in return in my boat. Most people are courteous on my home lake. The thing that sets me on fire (I am usually super, super mellow) are people that cannot obey no wake zones which are mostly fishing zones on my lake. I chased a guy for three miles down the lake on a jet ski and let him know all about it when I caught up with him. You know the saying, "How big a boy are ya!" that day he found out. I would bet money he looks next time he enters a no wake zone at 50 mph.
  19. ??????? Allow me to explain. Picture picking up at least one (sometimes 10) of everything BPS has. How is that for a thought on too much tackle?
  20. If you would take away the Spanish Moss that would look just like my home lake. I'm with Alpster, I would be all over that with a jig.
  21. Welcome Aboard Fellow Mountaineer!!! I have noticed the same thing in a few ponds over the years. Probably nothing to worry about, only feeding wounds or something simple if the bass seem healthy otherwise. Hope you decide to stick around for a while. We need more hillbillies.
  22. It don't matter which man, we'll still be ripping lips either way.
  23. Definetly worth watching. ;D
