Hey Jim, I have a chance to get a real good deal on a 7ft LTA heavy spinning reel. My question is how does the action compare to loomis or st.croix if you can compare or you have a kistler heavy action. I am looking for a rod just for drifting tubes on the bottom in the river and heavy action seems a little too much? Any help is great. Also if it helps I am use to stcroix actions more than anything, avids, elites and tournys. I don't think I can help you out much on comparing them to Loomis or St. Croix. I don't fish either of those rods. I do know that the newer version of LTA's have a faster tip than the older versions. I would rate my heavy LTX's as being extra fast. FiveBassLimit has fished both LTA's and Loomis's so he may chime in and give you a good comparison. I have held GLX's and Avids and liked both. If Loomis ever comes out with a GLX rod that doesn't have a foregrip, I will be the first in line.

I would be star struck around all those pro anglers. I wouldn't get anything done. Thanks to you guys for all the fantastic pics. Pretty cool to see it all unfold through ya'lls eyes.
