  1. I like their rods. I have a pretty even mix of Magnesiums, Heliums, and Helium II's. The Helium II's are my favorite to fish with and I recommend them highly. 8-)
  2. Tru-Tungsten jigs at $6.00 a pop I consider high end. They are great jigs though.

Ol' Daniel is quite the angler guys. He's just getting warmed up right now. I wish he lived closer to the states so I could raid his crank collection. ;D
  4. Dude, you look so much like my uncle it's not even funny. I hope your season continues like it's starting out. Nice fatty!!
  5. Age

    I'm 252 in dog years. 8-)
  6. I agree with islandbass. I have spools that will barely spin for 5 seconds versus spools that will spin for 20 seconds and they both cast very well.
  7. Hey man, keep a few of the Poe's. That's why I sent so many. Besides, you're doing me a hell of a favor. The wife shipped those for me and I told her to put money in there to cover the shipping back, I hope she didn't forget.
  8. Exciting news! I hope everything goes smoothly. I'm sure it will. Best of luck.
  9. Cork grip does not equal rod quality. Really? I never would have guessed. It isn't hard to see that most "high end" rods use cork, and that his selection may be limited. : You need to take a look at some Japanese websites my friend. You will learn real quick just how high "high end" can be. 8-)

I wish our air temp was 60. Nice fatties you got there Daniel.
  11. Coon.....Zoom Swamp Crawler Snapping Turtles.....You name it Rabbit.....Zara Spook Beaver.....Devil's Horse (hardest fight I've ever had in my life) My Dog.....Megabass Pop Max *All these were on accident except for the countless snapping turtles.
  12. Completely blacked out here now. I thought it got cloudy until I walked back outside. I can see the stars but no moon.
  13. Let it be known that I suck at taking photos of the moon. John J.'s photos turned out way better than mine. The ones I took look like a speck in the night sky. I'm just gonna delete them.
  14. Sound like to me you are fishing the Elk River. If it was me I would have one thing in mind...Muskie. I would be throwing the biggest, baddest bucktails I could find. 8-)
  15. Put a few back and use a couple you have two of the same kind. If it was me, they would be in with the rest of my cranks. ;D BTW, you don't have any white with pearl glitter do ya? I'll give ya $20.00 for it if you do.
  16. Not unless a shadow over the moon effects the fish. I think you should be good to go.
  17. Crystal clear skies here tonight. I can see it starting right now. I will get a few pictures and post them.
  18. Anybody else get dizzy from watching all those smileys?
  19. I see you have switched Trackers too. That tannic water looks awesome. I fish a few small brookie streams that have tannic water in them. It is the color of tea. Pretty cool to have a 2 lb. brookie come out of no where and smash a fly on a 2 weight rod.
  20. That was a hell of a gesture but honestly, I'm not really surprised by his offer. He was a stand up guy in my book before, even more so now.
  21. I got a bunch of the old Poe's. I sent about 6-8 to Fourbizz for repaints. I'm excited to see what he comes up with. True story: Two years ago one April morning, I was fishing a riprap wall close to the Marina. I caught five fish in about 10-12 casts on a Poe's 400 white with pearl glitter. The smallest was 3.5 lbs. and the largest was 6.5 lbs. I was smiling for the rest of the day. I guess they were stacked up in that one spot. BTW, Frogtog - the ones that are worth more have a fish shaped package.
  22. Hey Ben, got a link?
  23. Beautiful Labrador you got there. Nice fish too!! 8-)
  24. That's awesome!! ;D ;D
  25. Check this out. I've never heard or seen a reel do this. That is some serious RPM's!!
