How did you find out about BR?

Featured Replies

Not sure if this has been done before if it has someone can delete this if they want but just thought it would be interesting to find out how everyone heard about this site. A friend, another website, an internet search etc.

It's been a while for me but if I remember correctly I was just doing an internet search for something bass related and this was one of the first sites I came across. Lucky for me I checked out the forum section.

I had asked some of the guys at work , when i got my computer for places to learn more about bass fishing. They gave me Bill Danc Outdoors, I was not comfortable with that site. So I googled BASS FISHING FORUMS, BassResource was the first one on the list, I clicked it and there it was. Obviously eons better than the BDO offering, I also visit BPS and NY Bass Forums, BUT I SPEND MOST OF MY ONLINE TIME HERE 8-)

Me, too!

I just stumbled across the site. I had never joined a forum of any kind before.

Someone posted a link on BPS site to here on an article.  So I just surfed around and joined up.

I did a google of Bass Fishing websites and BassResource.com come up.

google here too.  These guys do a good job of keeping BR in the top five!

Actually I think Glenn, the Mods and the sheer info in the forums have more to do with BassResource.com staying in the top five than anything else 8-)

I don't remember what search engine got me here, but I remember I was in class and searching something on bass.  This site came up and I was visiting this site every day I had class just reading the articles for about 4 months before I even realized there was a forum on this site.

I just was searching the internet and somehow ended up on the forums.  I was reading everything and kind of got hooked.  I think that this is a great site for finding information on things that you have heard about and wanted to try.  Great site!!!

I was ggogling for some reel parts, and found Reel mechanic's site. He has a link to BassResource.com, so I checked it out. Kept coming back to read all the articles.

I discovered this place in February or March of 2005. Finally clicked the Forum tab, lurked for a while, and then signed on. Been here officially since Ocober 2005.

Never joined a forum before this. I'm really glad I joined this one. It's been fun, I've learned a lot, and it's great being part of the team.

Cheers,

GK

Can't exactly remember, but I can take a pretty good guess .........

So obviously I couldn't sleep.  Probably suffering from Cabin Fever ... so I started reading stuff about bass fishing on the net.  BassResource came up.  And the rest is history.  I also think about the time I joined is when I was planning a trip to Lake Fork.  I might have been trying to gather info about that.

This is also the first forum I had ever joined or participated in.  To tell you the truth, before BR I didn't even realize forums existed.  Now I can see there is a forum for everything .. and I am mean everything.  Have an appreciation for light bulbs? ... There is probably a light bulb enthusiast forum out there.

Me too, my username is "dbrev42" at the BPS Site.

I was a member of NAFC and one of the members mentioned this really informative site. I lurked for a while and read alot of the articles, then decided to join. After about a month I dropped NAFC like a bad habit.
