    Unfortunately a tongue or gill hooked fish that "swims off no worse for wear" is dead 99% of the time within a couple of hours. Fishing is still a blood sport and incidents like this are unavoidable. Take him home next time!

    I live in a trout dominated state and area so the lakes and river I fish for bass are anywhere from a 1 hour drive to a 2-3 hour drive. The bodies of water that are 2-3 hours away make it a little tougher to get there at first light sometimes lol...
