This is my 1st post and also1st bass over a couple of ounces. I'm sure it's a smallmouth??, caught from a small creek in Northern Delaware on a small rapala lure, air temp was low 50's. How big do you guys guess it was. Didn't measure or weigh it. Thanks in advance.

I would love to catch a smallimouth like that right now. Maybe in1 month. If 14", about 1.25 #....

The rapala was a finesse sinking #6 in rainbow trout colors.

Well you just fell down the worm hole of bass fishing.  Now comes all the rods and reels and tackle that we all have convinced ourselves we need to pursue those Brown and green fish!  Welcome to the disease!

Hard to be sure but I'd guess it's in the 15-16 inch range and around 1.5-2 pounds.

Congrats on your first decent smallie! I'd estimate a couple pounds. My first was also a smallie, about the same size. You'll remember that catch forever, even after you've caught bigger ones.

Welcome. Awesome first post. Don't be a stranger to the forums and now that you're hooked, don't forget to put a little money aside to buy mom some flowers for mothers day.
