  1. Goose, Nice to see you enjoy the 50 as well....
  2. I must admit I have a weakness for the 50...The Twins The Three Amigo's and now the Wait. Not to mention a 100 or 200 may show up at the door while waiting.
  3. It is real easy to not align the nut while compressing the spring.....My advice is to double check it. One more thing make sure you have about three threads showing above the nut.
  4. Make sure you have the drag star lined up with the retaining nut under it. That square nut needs to seat and line up inside the drag star.
  5. Oh yeah .....not only looks good it fishes good.
  6. The Pop Max is one popper you the fisherman will be happy you got caught by......get one and let the festivities begin....
  7. First run a piece of nylon stocking through it to check for any imperfections that may need to be addressed . Then run Clorox Wipes through as well as around the Guide and finish with a Q-Tip if needed and paper towel. Finish with Eagle One NanoWax....
  8. I would try a Dremel with a buffing pad and some plastic buffing compound.
  9. If you do decide to use it as a heavy jig rod then take a look at the 935 it will certainly do the job.
  10. Glad to see a date attached to the Conquest 50...... http://www.japantackle.com/Shimano/Shimano_Conquest2014.htm
  11. Looks sweet with the handle and the accent thing that it creates....
  12. I would be looking to use the closest color to the frog that lives on that body of water......when in the thick stuff I am always looking for an opening that the frog can be worked up to....that has been a very productive strike zone for me and one that they can hammer the whole frog....you will be surprised how patient they can be in stalking the frog to that point.
  13. Looks like the old Tru Tungsten Smart Pegs are back on the market.
  14. Been watching it fall off to more and more non fishing booths..on the other hand if you are looking to check out Loomis, Shimano or Daiwa it works...another hit is Northern Bass Supply.
  15. Grant, if you look hard enough you can still get them...one suggestion is go to some local tackle shops, I have found them there as well as the weights. Keep in mind Picasso still make the weights.
  16. Welcome....looks like you are off to a great start.
  17. Congrats ......you picked up some sweet reels, enjoy.
  18. First of all this is not intended to hurt your feeling for I do not want to talk bad about you and at the same time do want to beat around the bush. However I must ask you why do you feel the need to call people "Dumb and Wrong" because they spend more than you on their Fishing Gear and enjoy using it just as much as you claim you do.You my fellow board member need to understand that you could certainly get your point across without the need to call people Dumb and Wrong because they do not see the world as you do. Which makes me wonder why do you even respond in such a crass way when no one else has made such statements . I must say I do have some advice for you, and that would be you may want to change your Moniker to "Scorched Earth" because bluntly that is your approach......
  19. Will be staying focused on the Conquest as well.....thanks for the link.
  20. Duo- Hacker Slaver Chug MegaBass- Pop Max
  21. You are asking a lot from people to actually understand that, we are talking price.......not to mention these guys will bend over backwards to service you and stand behind their products.
  22. im going to fish with it and think of him every time im out with it. That is exactly what you should do..enjoy.
