calais in saltwater?
You started out looking for a crankbait reel which the APV would do the job. If you are looking for a Salt Water version than you should have bought the ASV.

Has any one used the Bull Dog yet
My first catch on the Bull was a 10" LMB ....This BULL can hunt!!! ;D ;D I like and have all the JDM versions which I find the Dragon Frog to be the hottest for me. Do not let the size fool you, the incredible deep knocking and wide wobble drives them crazy......

Are Higher End Reels a Waste if...
With all due respect I can not get past the part that you could not figure this out on your own. Why where you so intimidated by your friend and his reasoning???? Please understand I would think you would have convictions about your owning what you have just like everyone who has responded to you.

Broke my G.Loomis GLX
It is very simple to use, just make sure you have your rod model number ready for them. The next question is how fast do you want your rod 1 week or a couple of days. Which equates to either 50.or 60.bucks, its just that simple..............

Keep them out of the direct sun....had a problem with a few a couple of years ago since keeping them covered and out of the direct sun no more splitting down the seam.

PO'd I fell for Megabass...
For me they are. Have you tried MSS, Wagin Hasu or Table Rock Shad yet ?? As for the Flap Slap try IL Serious,Spook Killer,Frozen Tequila,TRS or Jekyll and Hyde. I use Megabass all the time and find myself using Cyclone's, Griffon Zero's, Pop Max's and Deep X's as well as the 110 and Flap Slap. One thing though I have never paid 30.00 for any Megabass lure I own......
