  1. Anyone familiar with the unit? Will it make me a better fisher or should I say will it help me catch more fish?
  2. Is it ok to use ol'bullet worm weights for the rig or do fish have different preferences? Basically everyone is jumping on "Tungsten bandwagon" these days but is it even necessary?
  3. Is it worth spending $60.00 on electronic protection plan for your $1,100.00 fish finder? I never bother with so called "protection insurance" in anything that I buy, but I'm new at this game. So, what would you suggest? Thank you.
  4. Any idea? I found ones for other big States - such as CA, TX and so on - but none for MD(why?). I want to take full advantage of what's available these days, and hopefully become a better fisher at the same time. So, who can help me please?
  5. What do you have if you don't mind my asking?
  6. Where do you guys shop for a fish finder? I'm trying to avoid eBay, though. Thank you in advance!
  7. Ok, what's your favorite color, weight and rattle or no?
  8. Well, first off, it's about $20(!) a pop, and I'm not sure I want it that badly as there are cheaper, and maybe better options out there. Anyway, what's your experience with the bait, and is it worth the price tag it carries?
  9. Do you own a bass warship or bass boat? LOL
  10. Just out of curiosity, what don't you have in your boat?? LOL!
  11. How heavy are those drywall screws? I've looked into some brass screws at a local Home Depot, and found them to be way too light.
  12. Some would fall off while setting a hook, and it can get $$ in a hurry. Who makes good dependable weights?
  13. I’m late to the game again and understand that there’re; swim jig, flipping jig, pitching jig and etc. is there one jig that can do it all or do I have buy them all? What do you use and recommend? Btw, isn’t flipping jig same as a pitching jig?
  14. Where or which areas would you target to catch bass? A local 10 acre lake that I frequent these days was all swelled up, and I couldn't get a single bite. I usually catch fairly decent sized bass - between 2-3 lbs - there too, but these days I'm catching a fat zero. I'm fishing from the shore so should I cast parallel to the shore more instead of casting out to the other side of the lake? There is grass on the otherside of the lake, next to a floating fountain where fish used to congregate. I think some bubba called off the meeting there, and moved on.
  15. Looks like a great deal. For, say, striper fishing, that would be perfect!
  16. Well, that's what it's all about! Now, I need to go buy some white trailer, and hope the winning pattern continues in our waters, too!
  17. I don't, and you may have a point there!
  18. Which model do you have, and have you had a chance to A/B with, say, Vanquish?
  19. I don't make my own swim jigs a la Tom. I just buy basically whatever is on sale so my hook choices are limited and AFAIK, they all have thicker hooks. Lately, I'm buying nothing but finesse jigs - getting old I suppose? LOL - and I don't think they come with thin wire hooks either. IOW, I need to set the hook like Bill Dance to get it done.
  20. I get that, but that trick never works for me for some reason, and my hooks are super sharp too. Ah, I see. I don't think he mentioned THAT part of the story especially about using a thin wire hook. Now, that makes more sense.
  21. @5:02. Don't set the hook?! Can someone decipher what he's saying because I'm lost....
  22. You're getting better and better with your lines...no pun
  23. I never thought of that! No, not at all.
