i saw on *** they are running a sale on the Lews KVD rods, they are 2 for 150 dollars and there are alot of choices of actions ect, just curious, i presently use a few of the Dobyns Fury rods. would there be a comparison as saying i would be upgrading or downgrading with the *** offer chet ps the only thing i am not sure i don't see any weight specs. if i recall someone did reply to another topic on the weight. if they are heavier not interested in them

i have been reading about spinning rods recently. i hear alot about the loomis glx and the nrx and a few others most are just out of my range what i want to spend, been looking at the Dobyns 7ft 6in DX 764SF, any thoughts on this rod, is it near as light as the big dollar rods, is it a good rod for the 340 dollar price range. any suggestions on a 7 1/2ft spinning rod that may be a better choice in this price range. chet

i took the 2 deep cycle battery's out of my boat for the winter, i notice one of them is wet around the area where the top was glued, is this a sign to dump it, the bottom of the battery box was wet also. is it safe to use it or not. chet

update on this reel, i figured i'd take it apart, very easy on this model, went thru a few steps and i think i found the problem, it was a sticking anti reverse roller bearing, i washed it out and a few other parts in the area, lubed the bearing with CLP and ect, i was able to test the anti reverse bearing and bingo, cleaned and lubed the gearcase and resembled it, it works as it should now, if it should happen again i know the exact part to order, i will give it back to my son, he puts them thru the test. the anti reverse switch works 100% of the time now, Daiwa could have fixed this reel in a heartbeat. 90 bucks saved ect. chet

that rod is not is stock anywhere in the country, but was hoping they would have it. but was going to take a ride just to browse, hoping was going to be like a Cabela's
