i purchased these worms 30yrs ago, have only a few left, for some reason yesterday nothing was biting, so for the heck of it i put one of these on a drop shot and caught 2 in 2o minutes, maybe some anglers have seen something real close or maybe someone can shed some light where i may find these thanks chet

new tow vehicle
WOW... brand new without a trade. i would love to see a deal like that up here in the NEPA area. i'd but it tomorrow chet ps maybe it's worth traveling, i hear you on the Ascent, just not super crazy on turbo charged engines. i don't feel longevity would be like a normal aspirated engine, now i could be wrong, maybe todays engines will go the distance chet i went to a few local weigh ins to see some results on the bass here in the Susquehanna river, i do notice quite a few tacoma's towing chet

new tow vehicle
after thinking about my 2018 outback for towing, i come to the conclusion that i feel i need a better vehicle, for starters, i am either going to sell my 2018 outback or trade it with 20k miles showroom shape, what do most people get by when towing for example a 16ft alum mod v hull, most models i am looking at are around 600lbs, one i have in mind is the G3 1652 or similar. i would like to stay in the 10 grand limit so with the trade or see, i am thinking the outback is worth roughly 20 grand, so what would about 30 to 32 grand buy, any suggestions on a reliable tow vehicle, was looking at a new tacoma for around 32grand with 4x4 and a 4 cyl, some say the 4 is not the way to go,any thoughts on the 4cyl or another suggestion on a tow vehicle. chet

whopper plopper
i have been using the river to sea whopper plopper size 90 recently, i notice i have to keep the rod tip high to get it to swim right, if i keep the rod tip lower the action is not there, is this common. or possibly the wrong line. chet

NEPA fishing
Funny thing happens, last sunday we were bass fishing at a lake here in Luzerne/Sullivan county. my wife was throwing a Mega Bass dark sleeper around 7pm she said she was stuck, so she tried to pull on the pole and about 10 ft from the boat a Hog jump and spits the lure. probably if she pulled real hard she might have hooked the fish. we were guessing 7-8 lbs easily. so off we continue to fish and called it a day. so yesterday we decide to fish the lake again. we got there around 3pm, we headed over to where she missed that big bass, she had the mega bass dark sleeper, my son was fishing plastic worms. and i was throwing the Wopper Plopper in black, we get in the approx area and i cast the whopper plopper on the second cast i catch a bass and was not sure how big, i set hard just in case it was a lunker, well guess what when it broke water he tried to spit, but i was fully prepared, my wife and son said thats him. finally got him in the net, was hoping if he ever hit again after last week it would be my wife, well she was happy i landed it, i will try to get a pic up. but it weighted 6lbs 10oz chet

15 or 16 ft stable boat
looking for a aluminum boat, 15 or 16ft wide beam mod v hull type, what are some recommendations for a stable boat fishing from the front casting deck, something similar to those bass tracker's i see a video recently that some company was advertising a 16 ft alumacraft with a 20hp for 9999.00 but it looks very unstable shifting from one side to the other on the deck. i would hate to make a purchase and not be happy if it is not stable, any suggestion that i can look at that i would be happy with. chet

towing a boat 2018 subaru outback
curious if anyone here is towing with a subaru outback, i currently have a 14ft smokercraft big fisherman with a 25hp yamaha outboard, the car seems to tow this boat with out mush effort, i do have to take it slow on one place we fish which has a about a 3 mile incline, since i am thinking for example a 16ft lowe modified v hull type boat or something similar, i need more room and a more stable boat and a bigger casting deck, this is why i am thinking of selling this 14ft smokercraft, v hull leaves a small casting deck, so i am thinking about the 16ft if the outback will handle it, this bow will not have an outboard will be for electric motor only lakes ect. will there be any issues. chet

looking for a new boat
i currently have a 14ft smokercraft big fisherman, i built a front casting deck for it, going back 30yrs when i had a bass tracker II it was a pleasure to fish off the nice wide casting deck, so i thought i would be happy with this v bottom 14ft big fisherman, it's ok, but not what i really would like, so it brings me to ask around for opinions and suggestions on my next boat that has a nice big and wide casting deck, i am towing with a new subaru outback so weight is sort of a factor, looking for either a 15 or 16ft modified v hull, flat floor tiller model is preferred. so if anyone has been down this road and has a boat that is a good quality, and happy with, looking for some input. i see the newer boats are all welded construction. any pros and cons on them. thanks chet

braided, mono and Fluorocarbon lines
since i got back into bass fishing 3 months ago after about 30yrs since i last fished tournaments, so first all my pistol grip baitcasting rods were replaced with the modern day baitcasting rods, got 4 new reels,Lews LFS, Lews tournament MP, Piscifun Phantom and the Daiwa CT 100 hs, all have braided lines except the Daiwa ct 100hs, it has flourocarcon, this is the only reel that i am not satisfied with getting any casting distance. so before i decide to sell it, if i put braided line on it will i get better casting distance. chet
