  1. Just if you drilled a pencil-sized hole all the way through the lynx so attach a long screw and nut for mounting an accessory, so you think that would negatively affect the kayak in any way? Aside from warranty and resale issues.
  2. anyone know PA laws?
  3. i sold it. I was all set to sell it for a native titan but then i realized after putting everything i want on the tita , it would end being so heavy i’d have to trailer it. So i sold the PA Put a deposit for the autopilot since it would be much easier and quicker to get on and off water. No im starting to think i might miss the pedals The 360 drive is really amazing
  4. Anyone use a cast net and fish finder to net their own baitfish? just curious if anyone has success with this, especially for those guys with boats/kayaks
  5. Wondering how these compare in terms of stability, speed and agility, as well as speed?
  6. Do you ever miss the pedals? wondering if there is a situation where i would be left wishing i had pedals. Aside from a motor failure, have there been any instances where you have missed it?
  7. I flipped the kayak on its side. got the cart poles thru the scupper holes. Then i flipped the cart back over and the weight of the kayak bent the hobie plastic wheel hubs
  8. What are your favorite techniques to imitate shad, specifically Gizzard Shad.
  9. Can you mount a faster motor in the rear offset from the rudder?
  10. I have a hobie lynx. Love it for what it is but 2 things i’m trying to make better 1) the hobie cart goes under the boat thru the scupper holes.’ this works great transporting expect for when i’m done fishing and need to put the cart back under the boat while it’s on the water. I don’t see an easy way to do that without being in the water. The other option is taking the boat out of the water and flipping it, but this puts stress on the wheels and already broke a cart. Any thoughts? sometimes i just leave the cart in and fish with it still under the boat in the sculler holes. it works fine as long as i don’t go too shallow but you do lose quite a bit of speed maybe 1-2mph. Def have to work harder but it’s super convenient launching in and out. Any thoughts on how to remedy? the other issues is i want to mount a motor but the rudder is in the read and flips up. So i don’t see an easy way to have a rear motor without being offset to the side. is that an issue for steering and how would i mount that to the llynx because it’s not a hard plastic kayak? thanks
  11. Thanks for the tips. I have a hobie H-crate which i added several extra rod holders i can get 15rods in that believe it or not. i can upload a pic sometime. Where do you store the Wilderness cart when on the water.
  12. A few more questions. What pros and cons are there to the different sizers? 1) I plan on truck bedding mine with tailgate down and no bed extender if i don’t have to. I value getting on the water and off the water quickly. I’m thinking the 120 could still be bedded. *•i currently have a hobie lynx which i bed no issues. 2) launching. with the boondocks wheels i imagine you could throw this thing in the water and then use the remote to bring it back to you to get in and out? correct? 3) i use vertical rod holders and i like to bring a lot of rods. Sometimes up to 15. I found a nice way to make it work vertically but the idea of fishing 360 as mentioned above seems appealing. i’m wondering how i could bring as many rods and stow them horizontally 4) Stabding and fishing while hands free trolling is clutch. i’m assuming in order to do this while standing you need the remote to steer, can’t use the foot controls, correct? 5) if you can send me links to some of the key products you found helpful or at least the make and model for example the weedless prop, that would be helpful on last question in regards to the weedless prop, can it go through heavy lillie pads? my lake has very thick pads, actually they’re spatterdock i’ve been told they rode above the water
  13. Which one did you go with 136 or 120 and why?
  14. anyone know the dimensions of the back area? i’m trying to determine what size crate to get? If anyone can provide the in the boat dimensions of the rear storage area. that would be great!
  15. Thanks that is helpful. Any regret with this kayak? im debating between this or getting the new titan X and fully rigging it with power poles motorguide and a torqueeedo in the back. Yes it’s overkill but i’m beginning to think that the autopilot can do all of those things albeit not as fast as the torqueedo but the spot lock makes the power poles unnecessary and it would be much easier to lug around. The titan fully rigged would have to be trailered, so at that point it i might as well consider a small bass boat. I think the motorguide still keeps some features of bass boat fishing but still keeping the convenience of a kayak. For than that own a motorguide, would you agree?
  16. Thanks! Can you stand and fish with the motor at trolling speed?
  17. For those that have or have used the autopilot, my question is can you stand and fish, while using the trolling motor? in other words, from what i can tell, if you can stand and fish while moving, this is the closest thing to a bass deck. Is that possible?
  18. Def the angle. thanks all.
  19. This may be a silly question but how do you read a sketch board? see attached picture. I don’t understand why the numbers at the top of the board don’t line up with the numbers in the middle. Thoughts?
  20. which ones are best for cutting through the spadderdock? (apparently that’s what the weeds are called). not actually lilly pads
  21. OMG YES!!! it’s amazing, moving fwd one of my favorite wally’s to fish, it’s semi too water as it climbs over the pads and really able to slow it down in open areas. THANK YOU. I have noticed that some brands and models work better than others. Which ones do y’all use?
  22. The johnson minnow works great! thanks for the advice windering if a big bubba shot would work?? power shot is another name for it, likes a super big drop shot weight and worm
  23. Thanks. Which is best for a kayak, the heavy duty or ultra light?
