  1. I recently switched from a Megabass Addermine to a P5 Wind Buster. Both are great rods for what you plan to use them for. I have a Daiwa Certate LT 3000XH on the Addermine and a new Shimano Exsence 3000MHG on the Wind Buster. The Wind Buster is a great rod and the Exsence makes it a perfect combo.
  2. I have found the 3000 to be near perfect on lakes, rivers too. with lighter gear.
  3. Ive only recently purchased and begun to use the Wind Buster. Being so used to the Addermine it's difficult to judge just how much of an improvement it might be. I do love the overall feel for many types of fishing, though. Seems to be a perfect match for the Shimano Essence I picked to go with it.
  4. OK, I’ll go with just the Tatsu. The lake I’ll be fishing has some Pickerel, but I guess the leader wouldn’t help that much. Thanks everyone for the answer I was hoping for.
  5. I'm getting ready for a two week bass fishing trip in extreme Downiest Maine. I've spooled both of my Daiwa Certate LT reels with Seaguar Tatsu. 8# with a 12# Seaguar Blue leader on the 3000-CXH and 10# Tatsu on the 4000-CXH. I'm considering not using a leader on this one due to the Tatsu being such a great line... and only 2# difference between it and the line. I have 12# Blue and 12# Gold leader available. Anyone tried using it bare? If so what was the result?
  6. I'm using a Certate LT 3000-CXH on a Megabass Addermine and a Certate LT 4000-CXH on a Kistler Z Bone 3. They are excellent reels, super smooth and very well sealed.
