  1. I hope they show up at my Dick's store. I'm anxious to try a couple. I just watched the video that shows the Cavitron getting up on plane faster than others. That is something I've found with buzzbaits, is that for the first several yards, or more, I have to reel like crazy to get it up on the top of the water. If I wanted it to run under the water, I'd throw a spinnerbait.
  2. I had heard that Dick's had them, but mine does not, for some reason.
  3. Yes, where?, other than the Cavitron website.
  4. I peruse mine in the only room in the house where I can have some privacy ;D. I didn't see any difference but then i don't have the old one to compare it to. My wife tossed out last years catalog. > (Can I divorce her for that?) I told her not to even touch this one.
  5. Another Darwin Award runner-up.
  6. I get it. ;D According to my research, there is a guy in Abercrombie, ND with that name.
  7. You should probably thank her for that ;D
  8. Most of our kitchen knifes wouldn't cut hot butter. ;D I was looking at the Chef's Choice electric sharpener over the holidays. Anybody have any experience with this?
  9. Definitely worth staying in for.
  10. I have mine in their original bags. I store those in a fairly large plastic storage box, like you find at Wal-Mart. It's about 16"x14" by about 6' deep. When I go fishing, I frequently put that whole box into the car, then I can make a decision about what I want to use when I get there. I take out whatever packages of plastics I want and put them in my tackle box, pockets, or some other small carry bag. If I change my mind about something, I can go back to the car and get a new package. Maybe not the most efficient but it works for me.
  11. That's what keeps me going. I'm thinking about going out into the garage and putting away some tackle that's just laying on my table out there. It'll be chilly but it'll be worth it.
  12. and grows his hair really long...
  13. I don't know the company you took your car to or their reputation, but my suspicious nature wonders if they could have sabotaged the car. Just thinking out loud here. I had a nationally known car care company, years ago, try to sell me new ball joints and tie rod when I took my car in for a front end alignment. He also checked all the brakes as a part of a "safety inspection". What he was looking for was something else to fix. I don't know who he thought he was kidding when he grabbed the tie rod while the car was on the lift and wiggled it back and forth to show me how "loose" it was. I told him to just align the front end, then I stood there and watched him do it. Makes me wonder why garages have signs saying "due to insurance regulations, customers must remain in waiting room".
  14. I have 3 or 4, and have no complaints with them. I have a Tournament Pike MH rod which is really nice. Lightweight, handles the appropriately rated lures well, handles the fish well. Very sensitive.
  15. A Christmas Carol. Personally I like the one with George C. Scott the best. "Scrooge" with Alastair Sim in the lead role, is my second choice. A Christmas Story Its a Wonderful Life and Christmas Vacation round out the top five
  16. Never had an electric razor that did the job. Maybe that's why for the last 30 years I've used a mug and a brush. Nothing like that hot lather to soften the beard. I only buy blades about once a year, a six pack or so. I don't think that contributes significantly to any environmental problems.
  17. Farkus? Yep that's him! When I was a kid, my sister and I always woke up to a present on the foot of our beds. And, we always had Christmas Eve dinner at my uncles house, with all the relatives from my dad's side of the family there. It was about the only time of the year we all got together.
  18. I'm glad I didn't have a mouthfull of coffee. Too funny!
  19. 24 hours of "A Christmas Story" ("so help me, he had yellow teeth")
