The greatest olympic sport
Cool! Curling IS my favorite Olympic sport. I did well against the computer. Only thing that would make this game better are sweepers.

Trying to get a boat in a garage
Cut the bank down, build the garage on a lower level. Doesn't have to be as low as the street but certainly lower than it is. We have a house locally that is almost the opposite problem. The house is built on street level with the garage on a basement level, with a steep driveway going downhill into the garage. Aside from not being able to get out of the garage and up the drive in snowy weather, guess what happens during heavy rains.

Trying to get a boat in a garage
Now that looks to me like when the front wheels of the vehicle enter the garage, the angle is such that the middle of the undercarriage is going to get hung up. The obvious question here is why would anybody build a house/garage like that. Surely there are other plans with a sub garage and a room over it.

carry firearms while fishing?
I haven't carried in the past while fishing, but this year, I'm going to start. Crime seems to be increasing in our area, though mostly among the druggies that know each other. But still, way too many shady characters out there any more.

found this, thought it was hilarious, had to share....
That's good, I like it!

Fishing Expos in NE Ohio?
I've been to the one at the Expo Center in Niles, OH, several times. Won't be going this year. Not worth it. No real good deals on much of anything.

Hooks on Jitter bugs
Even on new Jitterbugs you need to replace the hooks. For such a famous lure, the quality of the out of the box hook is nothing short of poor.

How far can a baby poop?
If you've ever had kids, you'll know where he's coming from. Any parent can relate. These experiences are funny and memorable, although they don't often appear that way at the time. And there are many more stories I could relate, I assure you.

How far can a baby poop?
That is an extremely wise decision. Never, ever stand in front of a loaded gun.

So Disappointed!!!
PA Cash 5, only when the jackpot is over $500,000. Best odds of any PA game. Max of $2.00 at a time. I have gotten my "investment" back on occasion.

Shaving
I shave after my shower and use shaving soap in a mug. Nothing better that applying that hot lather on your face with a good brush. Swirl it around, work it into the beard. 2 to 4 blade razors will give you the closest shave you ever had. Absolutely no irritation. Badger hair brush is best, I've had mine for over 30 years. Williams shaving soap, if you can find it. It lasts a long time. Wal Mart used to carry it but only has another brand now (I forget the name) It's good, nice close shave, but it doesn't last as long. Still worth it. When your beard is that soft, you get a lot more mileage out of the blades, I think. Check some brushes out here: http://www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store_store.html?ttl=All%20Shave%20Brushes&srch=eqWWWCAT_1datarq%3Dshave%26eqWWWCAT_2datarq%3Dbrush

EPIC! Animal Rights protestors....at a biker rally!
Funny, although if it did happen, it wasn't recent. Lack of snow on the ground. I don't think bikers hold rallys in the winter.

WD-40 on lures?
It is an apparent rumor that the main ingredient in WD-40 is fish oil. According to Snopes and a review of the Material Data Safety Sheet for WD40, it is primarily a petroleum based product. It does work very well for many applications, i don't think catching fish is one of them.

Anyone use Turbo Tax?
I've been using it for 10 or more years. One thing that is nice about it, once you start using it and input information, all of that info is imported next year for you automatically. I have a small business, just me as the owner/employee, and the deluxe version works fine for me. You still have to get all your records, deductions, expenses, etc together but it walks you through everything and will also take you through areas where you think you might not have any deductions. I agree about the tax free loan, although we purposely set our taxes up that way so I can use the refund to pay the local tax. At 2 or 3% a year in interest if I was to try to put that money aside, how much am I going to gain? Then I have to pay tax on that interest >

Southern Blizzard!
What makes you think people up north know how to drive in the snow? ;D. You should have been here the other night.

RANT
Not starting any political discussion, but gov't regs are probably the problem, not the solution. Competition is best. At the rate banks are buying each other up, I fear the time when there are only about 5 in the whole country to choose from. You will be at their mercy. As our local banks got bought up by the bigger financial institutions, fees increased, service decreased and loan and mortgage decision making was removed from the local community. We still have one small local bank, which is where I have my mortgage. I can still go in and talk to people I know. They service their own mortgages, too, and don't sell them off.

Southern Blizzard!
You're kidding right? I'm with bassnleo. We have about 12 inches on the ground, that's nothing. When it snows real hard and the plows can't keep up, I like to take the Jeep out for a drive and have some fun.
