Wacky hooks
I'm looking for wacky hook recommendations. I've used the green owners in the past and today I improvised and used a offset EWG 2 hook and it worked actually well. I throw 4 and 5 inch stick baits and worms like zoom trick and finesse worms and similar.

Daiwa SS SV/ New Tatula SV bearing size
I'm looking to replace the spool bearings and side plate bearings in these reels, can someone help me with the bearing sizes please?

Daiwa SS SV spool
I emailed them. All you do is swap these with the original drag washers. I forgot how I originally came across them but i looked for them elsewhere because of shipping from hedgehog. I bought the 6.3:1 and want to keep mine that way also lol I get it.

Daiwa SS SV spool
Ok that's great to hear I'll look into that spool. As far as the drag, i bought this. It's in its way and you can look it up on hedgehog studio website they describe it a bit more. I guess I'll find out how much of an improvement there's is.

Daiwa SS SV spool
Pretty happy with lol? Is it the one from Tackle Trap? I've been looking at that one. Better than the stock spool?

Bass not committing to bite
Oh yeah i know, also had trick worms. Same happening. I went 2 days later it was the same results. If i let them take it, it's like when a bass runs with the bait and the line moves... Then they drop it. That just keeps happy.. No I'm not using any on the plastics scent. I'm familiar with all the techniques, I've bass fished for many years. I appreciate your help. Judy wondering what i can do to make them take it. I've fished this pond and only as of the cooler weather this started happening. Thank you

Daiwa SS SV spool
Are there little holes around the walls of the spool? Weight reduction?

Daiwa SS SV spool
I'm looking for the best option for a new spool for my SS SV for throwing plastics. Will be weightless and weighted. I'm not really interested in shallow bfs spools. I'd like a better SV spool that the stock one that the SS comes with. Thanks!

Daiwa SS SV/Tatula Elite

Daiwa SS SV/Tatula Elite
As far as more of a finesse reel I'm thinking of going with the new Tatula SV. I should be able to accomplish similar to what I can with my SS SV. What are your thoughts?

Bass not committing to bite
Oh wow I really appreciate the tip! I'll have to try that next time I'm at that spot thanks! I was, wasn't a very productive day caught 3 one was almost 3 lbs

Daiwa SS SV/Tatula Elite
The St Croix rod is fast action. I do not like moderate action rods either, especially for plastics. I always have used 8 lb p-line cxx on my plastics rods but thought about using 6lb to see if there is any difference. Maybe I'll leave the reel as is! Thanks for your help!

Daiwa SS SV/Tatula Elite
I didn't swap the spring! I'm not sure where I can get the better spring. Fort the rod it's on is a 7'1" med St Croix Mojo Bass. I was able to cast the zoom trick and smaller finesse worms with 1/16 oz and weightless into a little wind. I wouldn't say I broke any records, but an alright distance for light baits and wind coming at me. I'll have to give the Tatula Elite a try and see what it can do. Where can I get the inductor spring? Would replacing the bearings help in these reels? They are going to be my plastics reels. I also have a 7'1"med heavy St Croix Mojo Bass one will be going on that won't be for the lighter plastics. More for 1/8 oz and senko style and bigger creature baits. Thank your for your info

Bass not committing to bite
Ok good to know, I did down size to zoom finesse worm but same thing was happening. Bass bite slow, active bluegills. That's what I was thinking. Thanks everyone for the help and tips! Much appreciated!

Bass not committing to bite
Hey everyone. I'm throwing weighted 1/16 and weightless zoom trick worms- and like worms in various colors. I've caught a few and lost a few. But the fish keep picking up the line, taking it out and dropping it. That's happened like 50 times. What's this telling me?? Thank you!!

Daiwa SS SV/Tatula Elite
I've read about people swapping spools for the the Zillion SV TW G1 spool from TT and making it a much better casting reel. I just might have to to that. I appreciate your info.

Daiwa SS SV/Tatula Elite
I guess that would help lol, it's a 103h. I've also swapped the inductor with a zillion SV one you can buy from Tackle Trap. Thank you

Daiwa SS SV/Tatula Elite
I have a Daiwa SS SV and a Daiwa Tatula Elite on the way. I'm looking to see which would be better for weighted/weightless plastics? I use 1/16 and 1/8 tungsten bullet weights pending on conditions(I fish ponds). Any info greatly appreciated.
