  1. Oh I 10000000% believe in the conditioning of fish. We seriously underestimate them.
  2. I taught myself to fish and how to use baitcasters many years ago. This wasn't without its fair share of trials. On one of my first outings I was minding my own business fishing the river bank. A couple wading for what I assume was probably Smallmouth went on by and laughed at me but said nothing. I was confused and honestly irritated, what they heck is so funny? Later on I backlashed pretty bad and had to go sit down and cut it out and respool. It was then that it dawned on me that I was holding the baitcaster upside down like it was a spinning reel. That's what they were laughing at. Upon leaving later that evening a group of people were walking by (I was fishing the river at the state park, get your fair share of fishermen, hikers, walkers, sight seers, etc). I stepped to the side to give them room and immediately hit the muddiest mud ever and fell directly on my back, just absolutely covered in mud. Of course they laughed but also made sure I was ok. So don't feel bad.
  3. I've been throwing Super Spook Jrs on a 6'10" M/MF (1/4-3/4 oz) Shimano Zodias this season. I really like the rod.
  4. That the shad bait? I like Milliken, but he stans the expensive baits so hard. He's got a video from about a year ago showing why you want the high dollar swimbaits. He would work those slow and proper to get the best action in his pool demonstration. The less expensive baits he would work fast and ridiculous to make them roll over and breach the surface.
  5. Milliken fishes $1,000 Hinkle swimbaits. It's real, and it's ridiculous.
  6. I know a guy who has frogged with the same $100 Lew's LFS for, I want to say, 6-7 years?
  7. The most egregious are Jackhammer and Mini Max chatterbaits. The Jackhammer was once good for me on a particular body of water in my home state, but since moving a few years ago I cannot buy a bite ANYWHERE with a chatterbait. I thought the Mini Max would solve this problem, but it has blanked. Dead bait for me. Similar story with the Whopper Popper. It was once a great bait for me like 4-5 years ago but now it is totally dead. Can't buy a bite. However, spooks and spinnerbaits were dead for me in my home state, but are now some of my best baits. Very weird how this works depending on region.
  8. They've fixed their issues with getting hacked.
  9. Never seen or heard of this company before. Now after reading this thread last night I'm getting ads. Proof "they" monitor and listen to everything.
  10. Resident schizo. This is chronic OCD (I've said it before in his threads lol). But you're lying because....
  11. Nah, they are. We deal with backlashes every once in awhile. They deal with poor drag, no winching power, poor gear ratio, line fraying, and looking like a 6 year old all the time. (Spincast not to be confused with spinning)
  12. Why not? SV reels aren't the only reels capable of skipping.
  13. When I was a kid and I was being a loud, mouthy brat, I too shut the hell up when mom grabbed me by the ear. I imagine it's similar.

2 110s for 2 wavers? I don't care about price difference. I over bought on colors and found my fish like white or chartreuse in the bait.

    You need 110s?
  16. A couple years ago I fished a 110 near a known submerged log. Naturally I got hung up and lost it. Well that was stupid, I thought. Why did I do that? I tied on another 110 and immediately did it again because I'm not smart. Hung up again and lost another. Seriously thought about taking an IQ test after that.
  17. Ummmm excuse me but you can't just drop "caught one with a spinnerbait" and leave it at that. This is front page bass resource news.
  18. Lol that's savage
  19. Heard that stuff will catch you some putrid fish in local dive bars
  20. I use a lot of SLX XT reels. I like them a lot. Personally don't see any point in a DC reel. If you're good with a baitcaster, it's pointless, possibly even a hindrance. If you're not good with a baitcaster you should practice because a DC won't ever educate your thumb properly.
  21. Are you using two different accounts or am I hallucinating
  22. Guide and tip protection taking rods in and out of rod lockers. They also absorb abuse when you have rods in the back of the truck heading for some bank fishing, all that bouncing around. They have merit.
  23. Flip flops because I'm a neanderthal
  24. Panhandlers are now passing through time and space
  25. @Catt , I get an old school combat bass fishing vibe from him from what I've seen.
