  1. I was going to ask myself, but figured it would be such a super obvious popular bait that I'd look like more of a dummy than I already do. ? Was really hoping I could find these in store, they look great.
  2. What are they supposed to do? Toothy fish destroy plastics and cut line and steal lures on a regular basis.
  3. I never have any luck with LMB that are busting in a feeding frenzy. SMB are eager eaters for me during such times though. Don't forget the Deadly Nedly... It's not fun, but it sure is effective. Good luck.
  4. If it is indeed essentially the same reel as the KVD it will be great.
  5. 100% M. This question is usually M or ML. With more details about what your arsenal looks like and what "other finesse approaches" means to you I might even say ML.
  6. Balance and weight isn't even worth thinking about unless you have injuries or wear and tear that comes with age. You won't notice. This, in my opinion, is one of those niche things for people to obsess about.
  7. Years ago I watched Lake Fork Guy's wife (before the Googan stuff) fish a frog in heavy weeds on spinning tackle. She actually hooked up and landed them, weeds and all.
  8. I mostly beat the banks from shore. I keep mine in the original packaging in my backpack with the tail pointed upwards so the weight of the bait doesn't sit on the tail.
  9. You don't need to spend nearly that much for great baitcasters these days. Most bass anglers aren't dropping $500 on a reel, let alone "old Zebco 33" users. That's crazy man. I am interested to know what baitcaster the OP tried because there are definitely a lot of trash options.
  10. When I was using them I could pitch weightless plastics around just fine. You definitely won't need a 3/8 oz + hard bait to make the reel functional.
  11. This scenario aged awkwardly. Welcome to 2023.
  12. I use baitcasters almost exclusively.
  13. Couldn't be me. The Lightning Rod was always the better option for bass fishing. Now with the Aird-X, it's insane to buy anything else in that $50 and under range.
  14. I just use any 3 power Dobyns casting rod I want to use at the time and it's perfectly fine
  15. If you've ever seen your Texas rigged bait in the water pegged vs unpegged, you'd never peg again.
  16. At least it's allergy snot for you. I think Cbump needs a penicillin shot for his.
  17. Broooooo I think the bait monkey has you by the balls
  18. It's been disgustingly windy in Indiana too. That seems to have dropped off for a week or so and it's been nice fishing. My first outting of the season, on my very first cast, I casted a 3/16 oz bullet weight and Culprit Worm into 20mph wind head on, with all my might because I'm an idiot LARPing as superman, and birds nested so bad I had to leave. Second trip of the season was much better weather. Almost no wind. Great, I thought. Let's just cast this Senko under this overhang right quick.... Caught a branch on the back swing. First cast. Birds nested so bad I again had to leave. It's been better since
  19. I never did have the problems with the 90 that some people complained about, but the WP in general is a dead bait for me, except on untouched/hardly touched streams in the middle of absolutely nowhere. It went from lights out to can't buy a bite. The one bait above all baits that, in my experience, the fish became stunningly conditioned to.
  20. Hail, Greenlander!
  21. I have a friend who golfs and is constantly inviting me. Same response every time: "Dude...I fish."
  22. Because the spot is meant to accommodate the size of a truck and a trailer. Normal spots can't fit them. My fiancee is a typical princess who will circle a store parking lot for 20 minutes just to get a spot slightly closer to the door. It drives me nuts. People are so lazy. I'll park on the other side of the parking lot because walking for a couple minutes isn't hard if you're not handicapped.
  23. Other than super glue, you can also cut a little off the head as needed until the trailer is too short. Gives the plastic fresh meat for the keeper.
  24. Have you tried using cookies? Maybe mom is onto something...
