when we lived in the philippines my wife would climb the coconut trees to get us fresh coconuts so we could have fresh coconut water for breakfast. Coconut water tastes like nothing you have ever drank, its tastes fantastic and refreshing with a sweet sparkling type of smooth bite to it like soda water mellowed out a bit. The stuff they sell in a can in the grocery stores is crap as its been pastuerized and all the nutrients have been destroyed and sugar and flavoring has been added, dont buy the hype its not real.

here is a quote from some place where the guy explains what he has learned from 2 different braid companies. I am the head of the Kayak Fishing Club of the Palm Beaches and have been using braid since early on. Spiderwire was virtually the only one available and it tangled and got “air knots” all the time. However, I discovered Spiderwire Fusion and it worked really well. Now I use both Power Pro and Spiderwire Stealth braided lines. Power Pro is made of Spectra and Stealth is made from Dyneema. I like each of them but also know the differences. Dyneema will get fuzzy and that will allow it to get air knots easier, and cut casting distance, so I do cut some off every once in a while or put the line on with the worn (fuzzy) line inside so the new end is being cast. All my lines are old (I have 20 rods and reels set up with line and lures so I just pick the rod that has the lure I want to start out the day) and I still use them, but the new Dyneema lines are “infused” with something, so may be better now. Spectra takes longer to get fuzzy, but when it does, it breaks. Fuzzy Dyneema is still as strong as can be so can be used longer for some kinds of fishing. I have not used Spiderwire Ultracast Invisi-Braid, but I like the fluorescent yellow or lime green lines I use so I can see where I am casting.

i tie pike leaders using #80 fluoro using only 2 wraps around and then burn the tag end with a lighter or soldering gun. This leaves a bit of a bulged stop just in case but never have i seen the bulge tag end ever move.

been using spiderwire since the 90,s. Yes it looses its color fast, my moss green looks whittish/green when dry but when wet still looks light green, it looks frayed from top to bottom but thats normal for spiderwire. I use 20 and 30 stealth and never no problems but may try 832 next year to see if it frays or discolors and how it acts in the wind.

i have done that before but then i had to splice on more line due to the loss from snags, pike and frayed looking line i didnt trust. What brand of braid do you use? me spiderwire stealth.

i replace my braid with new before the beginning of the new fishing year on 3 reels. In with the new out with the old.

i was driving around the neighborhood yesterday and stopped in the middle of the road as a pure white squirrel ran across. First time ever have i seen a albino squirrel. Back in the year 2000 i moved from las vegas to san francisco because my gf at the time got a new top dollar job offer and i also had a job offer that paid big bucks as a mechanic I brought along my glasstron carlson jet boat and we went to a resouvior to go boating and the rules were i had to run boat in a clockwise direction, not allowed to exceed 25 mph and no swimming. The killer was i had to present to the officer at the entry shack a gas reciept showing i had purchased gas containing mtbe in its formula. I didnt have a receipt and i never got on the lake.

all my spots are within an 1 1/4 hr away. The whole drive is on 2 lane highways right through farm country. I enjoy looking at the progression of the crops through the summer, looking at the cows, horses, seeing what kind of ducks are sittin in the farm ponds and i dont think about what i am going to do to attack the lake. The night before is when i organized my go to tackle and devised my plan so on drive day i talk to the wife while looking at the world.

i know you didnt mention it but have you ever tried spiderwire? I am just curious because i have been using it since the 90,s and for next year i want to go from #30 spiderwire stealth to 40. I may also for no real good reason other than for a change, try out this 832 line because of all the hype i read of this line. I would like to compare line color fading and get a real good look at the small line fiber fraying that may or may not appear as it does on the spiderwire.

i usually throw a fit because my wife 99% of the time catches the first fish always on a t rig senko. Same color same favorite standing spot. What that does is make me second guess my spinner search bait approach.

occasionally my kaitech trailer tail gets stuck in the trailer hook. I have been making my spinners look smaller by cutting the skirts and using small mr twister grubs for a trailer and not using a trailer hook.

fishing is like marriage, after ya throw your lure in there a few thousand times its nice to move on to another body of water where ya dont know what to expect and the excitement level is high.

2 weeks ago i caught 4 nice bass out of the pads and weeds while wading amongst them. I was using my spining reel #30 pflueger supreme with #30 spiderwire braid with fluoro leader onto a 3/0 ewg hook, 1/2 oz bullet weight with rage menace. My rod that day was my favorite ugy stick carbon 7ft medium-fast and that combo worked but for each fish i had to grab the line by hand and pull the fish through the pady weed mess to get them to me. They out muscled my ugly stick and my reel, always tangling me to where the rod would give them the chance to dive down and rap me up no matter how hard i pulled back. I didnt loose any but it was a heck of a workout to get them in so out i went shopping to get a new weapon. I bought a fuego 7.2 ft medium heavy fast, this is my first ever mh rod and when i hooked up the other day on a bass in the thick weeds and he pulled hard for the deep cover i reared back and won the fight on this day, no line pulling by hand needed. I was throwing all types of lures to feel how this rod would handle and it did fantastic with t rigged 3/0 ewg hooks with 1/2 oz bullet weight with rage menace. Didnt try anything lighter but do expect a distance loss but we all know the trade off. Very easy to bomb big spooks and walk them in with no arm, elbow fatigue as rod is light and balanced perfectly for me to get my cadence down. When i was at fleetfarm i grabbed many comparable rods off of the rack and put handle on the floor against the wall, holding the fuego and the competing rod together and would pull down on the tips and compared the parobolic bend from tip to handle and the fuego had the least bend from the fast tip which is what i wanted while the others claimed to be fast but gave way to much on the top.
