  1. Canada lures?
  2. Hi my name is Mark and I’m a tackle hoarder. ? I built shelves in the garage along side the boat. That way I can swap boxes and baits without climbing in and out. There are from boat height to the ceiling. I have these mounted on my boat lids and on my garage walls too. https://easyviewtackle.com/
  3. I thought it was a copy of Rapala Shallow Rap?
  4. I run 4 humminbirds and 2 power pole micro anchors on a 31m battery all day without issues. It is a big power draw and recharge every outing though, so I have to replace it almost yearly. That’s all the room I have in the boat though. Hooking up 2 batteries usually requires some type of relay charging system if you parallel them to your motor. Replacing a battery every year seems costly til you start adding up gas receipts. Then it seems cheap by comparison. My trolling battery was usually every other year, but I went 24v this year.
  5. ^This switch the charging wires with another battery. If it charges it’s the charger. If it doesn’t it’s the battery
  6. Don’t have a GoPro, mostly because I wouldn’t want to force others to watch my horrible fishing techniques ? I have this with a light though and it will power GoPro through USB. They have a model that you can drive with too. https://yolotek.com/
  7. Every year I buy and swear I’ll use some type of finesse bait. It goes in the other storage box and at the end of the year I find it and throw it in a box. It’s not that I don’t like them or hate them. I just have so many other types of baits that work somehow someway. One year I’ll finally be desperate enough to try it I guess.?
  8. Yeah I’m going to try the orange ones as well. Think I’ll buy a pair of Texas tackle pliers for the boat too. Thanks everyone
  9. It’s hard to tell from the photo if they are small enough. I think that’s why mine won’t work. The split rings are small. I need the find a split ring size and treble hook size chart to print out and laminate for the boat. I’ll look that up later tonight
  10. Was this the pair you had. They are called micro but look like they may work https://www.gamakatsu.com/product/micro-split-ring-plier/
  11. I need recommendations for a good pair of split ring pliers. Need to change some spinner bait blades and the cheap pair I have won’t even work. thanks
  12. Try adding a trailer. It may need some weight on the jig to keep it running true. Trailer = plastic baits like smaller swim baits I use a lot of SK Cut’r tails and swim senko’s as buzz and spinner bait trailers, but there’s a multitude to choose from. Also a 7.3:1 reel is better because it winds a lot more line keeping it on top. Dont be afraid to run it just sub surface too. Sometimes that works.
  13. I heard a popper with a bead in front and a flouro grub on the rear hook made you go nutz. I wanna try that?
  14. The Pizza Capitol of the world is NYC not Chicago. Just like NYC bagels it the water that makes the crust. Try and get a slice of that goop above without wearing it. Yuck??
  15. If it turns out to be not so good, always and I mean always refer to it as “her boat”. My wife and I do this to each other all the time, but we have a great time kidding each other?
  16. Great boat Would love to have one Do not need a 2nd Mortgage though I fish my Triton bass boat on Sturgeon and Green Bay about twice a year. If a Pro V Bass isn’t big enough, maybe that’s a day to stay home. Just my 2 cents. A 25” transom should handle anything a boater with safety in mind can handle.
  17. I do both nail weight one end for extra action, you don’t need much weight at all unless your fishing it deep. I use these https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Lunker_City_Nail_Insert_Weight/descpage-LCIW.html
  18. The answer is no. Once the blade hits the surface the entire bait rolls the over. I suppose with a 1/4 oz and a good kicking trailer like a rage craw you can get it in the 1’ deep area though. Like that you’re thinking outside the box though. That’s what makes a good fisherman. Willingness to experiment with baits.?
  19. Yes and no Docks, cover, punching yes Open water no
  20. II GODZILLA’S REVENGE Because Megabass is so “the lure” he was caught last time???????
  21. Such a relative question. In open water it depends on water depth and the rate of fall fish want In heavy cover it depends on what weight will penetrate the cover. I mostly throw 1/4 to 1/2 oz jigs and 3/16 to 1/2 tungsten weights. Unless I’m punch mat, then it’s 3/4 to 1-1/4 oz tungsten weights.
  22. Went to TW yesterday to order the Owner hook covers. Placed an order but forgot the hook covers? So I placed another order. I ordered several bags of them. Seems to be the overwhelming response from everyone. Thanks for the tips too all.?
  23. Really nice catches? Like I was trying to tell someone else, that asked for help, in another thread. This warm end to winter with the ice out early has the fish spawning and staging in high 40’s water temps. It happens up north with prolonged water temps in the high 40’s. Northern bass live in ice water almost half of the year. With early ice out and water temps up 15 degrees for several weeks if not months they will move up. It took me awhile to learn this. Waiting til May in years like this means missing the fun time of year. The girls will be gone, shallow, and only the young boys are left to tend to business.
  24. I own several megabass crank baits. They work. Just like all the other crank baits. I don’t think it’s a magic potion.
