  1. Enjoy staying home til then
  2. If I wasn’t swamped with my house remodeling, I’d be throwing a tube, 1.5 square bill, 1/2oz rattle trap, and a 1/4oz jig right now. Constant 47 degrees means they are spawning or setting up to spawn. Fish from noon til dark til the water hits mid 50’s.
  3. Very Serious Based on what you offered as information. A very small body of water and lots of pressure (it’s over fished). The biggest fish in the pond will feed at night. A full moon allows them to be the ultimate predator when nothing else is disturbing the water.
  4. Black buzzbait or Whopper plopper under a full moon about 3am.
  5. I caught the biggest 2lber ever known to man on a magnum square bull. He must have swiped at it or changed his mind but got to close. Hooked him right in the tail meat.?
  6. Because God has a sense of humor too?
  7. If possible, wait till the fish turns away from you to cast past them and work the bait back to them. If they are sitting on a bed this can take patience. Or drift away and cast past them. Fish beds can be fun but be polite and let them go back to tending the beds.
  8. Get a custom cover made. Take care of it. You will never buy another one for the boat. Not many things for a boat will you say that.
  9. You can rig a tube on anything jig head ewg hook worm hook straight shank hook I’ve even nose hooked them on a drop shot hook.
  10. The only time I ever consider I’m stuck on a fishing method is when it’s not working anymore.
  11. I’m going to try a bag of them.
  12. I’ve modified boxes before. I like the idea
  13. I’ve been using Bass Pro Bone dry for a few years with no complaints.
  14. My best advice is to go to your local tackle store and look at the baits. Some are made to move constantly. Some are made to only move when you move them. Some are made to just be an appendage sticking out the back. It all depends on what you are doing with the jig and what the fish are in the mood for. If it’s in your budget I would buy at least one of each type in more natural colors to start with. Black/blue, Greeen Pumkin, Watermelon. Dont forget jigs are used to imitate bait fish too and that’s a whole different spectrum of baits also.
  15. I have a tackle store of lures in my boat from trying to catch them like a pro did.??
  16. Yes, if you can’t feel the jig vibrating you may be using a rod that doesn’t have a sensitive enough at the tip.
  17. Been wearing AFTCO gear for a couple years. Great stuff. I wear long pants and a hooded shirt. Only put sun block on my face. I wear gloves too. My sun worshiping days are over. https://aftco.com/
  18. I couldn’t catch a thing on them, til I watched a fishing show that showed they turn sideways if you crank to fast. I switched to5.3:1 reels for them and ? tada started catching them on it. One of my favorite baits to throw now.
  19. Ok sorry I have the 3700 2.0 boxes I see what your talking about the DD box has more spots and smaller compartments. Do you have the BASS MAFIA THE BUD BAG for buzzbaits? if so do you put them in hook first or blade first. They are really a tight fit
  20. No it’s the 4” deep box. I filled 2 of them with various square bills most of them doubled up. It’s a disease I tried this one year with parachute cord and those spring loaded clips to cinch the cord. It look real nice in the box, but I found when on the water those just grew legs and jumped ship when I wasn’t looking. I think the wind blew them overboard. I stuck myself even more than just a jumbled mess in the box. Im thinking the hook cover things may be the only answer.
  21. I just bought these for all my other crank baits but for 1.5 sq bill and 1/2 lipless baits it’s a lot of air.
  22. Up here it’s about $125/hr plus parts unused motors need a lot done. Hopefully they are not ceased up.
