  1. They are very good and legit. Ordered a Tatula Elite AGS from them on the 9th. Shipped the next day and was on my doorstep on the 12th. They have really good sales and “open box” specials on some items. Got that Tatula elite AGS for $131 from them
  2. Yeah the 734c really is a special rod. Any lure in the 3/8-1/2oz range is in its wheelhouse. Slow enough for moving baits, but still fast enough for jigs and t-rigs in a pinch. I like a little backbone in my chatterbait rod for setting those jig hooks. I’m not a fan of glass rods either. Hows the 610-4cb Kaden? I’ve almost pulled the trigger on getting one a few times for 110jrs and little cranks. They feel nice in hand at the store.
  3. Have you tried Dobyns rods? Not my favorite for bottom contact, but for moving baits they are hard to beat. The Champion XP 734c is a killer chatterbait rod. I think it’s 5oz but it is so balanced it is practically weightless in hand with any reel
  4. Well shoot now you got me wanting one lol. I’ve been looking for a nice smaller-medium glide/swimbait setup. Not planning on jumping off of the deep end into the world of big swimbaits, just would be nice to have swimbaits as another weapon in my arsenal. Currently I have 7 and 8 speed Curado 200Ks and would use one of those, but I’m just worried about the K not having enough muscle. If the M is supposed to be beefier, the bait monkey is telling me to get one to put on a Fury or Champ XP 795 or 806. But yeah, I guess it does make sense to introduce the M as a heavier duty reel to bridge the gap between the 150 MGL and the Curado 300 while the 150 MGL essentially replaces the 200K
  5. Pretty much it seems. Different spool and that’s it. I’m just trying to figure out why the Curado M is a whole ounce heavier than the 150 MGL
  6. Didn’t need the 7’4”, already had the 7’6” but couldn’t help myself with that good of a deal. Save a spot for my van on the riverbank too ?
  7. Midway has the old Tatula Elite AGS rods in 7’6” HF and the 7’4” HF for insanely cheap $131 for the 7’4” and $145 for the 7’6”. I’m a little bummed now that I paid $230 for my 7’6” HF a few months ago thinking it was a good deal lol
  8. The 705cb is the better “do it all” crankbait rod. Jerkbaits, lipless, squarebills, down to medium divers. Should handle everything you specified. I have a Fury 705cb and it’s perfect for 1.5s and 100-110 jerks. Should be able to toss wiggle warts too

Nice, yeah, all they need is some skirts and trailers. Siebert Outdoors has a really nice selection of skirt colors so you can have a nice variety of looks depending on the water. For 1/2oz, a MHF 7’+ rod will do. Some people like a really long 7’6”+ rod for footballs. I mainly use a 7’2” MHF Expride B for them. A 7 or 8 speed reel, 40 or 50lb braid, and a 15-20lb Fluoro leader and you’d have a perfect football setup. 1/2oz is great for shallow to medium depth dragging around structure

I like putting a trailer on them (rage craw usually) and dragging them on the bottom. Can be fished shallow or deep and work year round. Also catfish sometimes want to nip at them as well. Caught a few blues and flathead with em
  11. Curado Ks going on sale everywhere is a good sign a Curado L might be coming out
  12. From a kayak, you probably wouldn’t want something too long. However if you want to pitch jigs into cover, a little extra length would help. Sounds like 7’-7’3” would be your sweet spot. A few really good rods that come to mind are 7’4” HF Tatula 7’1” HF Tatula Elite (says it’s a skipping rod but it makes a great frog rod as well) Dobyns Sierra 735c Dobyns Kaden 715c Dobyns Fury 735c As for reels, the fuego is great, but for a couple dollars more on Japanese sites, you could get a Tatula 100 or Tatula 80 which would be a nice upgrade
  13. That’s a really low lure weight rating for a MH. Most MH rods are around 1/4-1oz. Look for something in that range with a fast action. What’s your budget? The Daiwa Tatula rods are a great rod if you are wanting to get a nice rod without spending an arm and a leg. Just make sure it’s the MH fast in whichever length works for you. In the 200-300 dollar range, the St. Croix Victory and Legend Tournament bass in 7’3” HXF are amazing jig/T-rig rods around cover. The Shimano Zodias and Expride lines are also really good. I have a 6’10” MHF Zodias and a 7’2” MHF Expride for jigs and t-rigs and both are great. If you have a budget it’d be easier to narrow down a couple of really good options. There are a lot of nice rods available. As for line, 20lb is plenty. If you are fishing a lot of weeds then 40 or 50lb braid to a 20lb leader might help out too.
  14. I’m not sure if SVF is necessarily better than HVF. The $200 dollar rebellion line uses HVF and the $400 BLX line uses HVF Nanoplus. I own both and I like them better than the SVF Nanoplus Tatula Elites
  15. 704c should be just fine for weightless senkos. Senkos got some heft to them compared to other stick baits thanks to the salt
  16. It is a medium fast yes. A MH might be fine for 1/4oz but 3/16 is pushing it. Dropping down to a medium is probably your best bet with those small jigs. Especially since you say you are fishing rip rap, which I assume won’t have too much vegetation around it
  17. I use a 7’2” MF casting Okuma Psycho Stick specifically for 1/4oz jigs around rip rap at texoma for smallies and it’s an amazing rod for that. A little over your budget though unless you find it used or on sale
  18. I have the 7’3” HF Rebellion and it is a fantastic rod. You’d probably want a MH though. The Rebellion rods are very high quality and underrated. I like them better than the Tatula Elite rods. If you really like the Spec R, you could get it in the Levante for a little over your budget too
  19. Youre welcome ? and yeah the new AGS rods just dropped and they look very nice. If the TFO feels dead to you I guess you could always use it as a frog rod. No need to feel a frog bite lol
  20. I rotate 4 rods for big jigs. (Down here in Texas with thick weeds and big bass you need em) 7’2” HF Daiwa BLX 7’6” HF Daiwa Tatula Elite AGS 7’3” HF Daiwa Rebellion 7’0” HXF Abu Garcia Veracity BLX is the stiffest of the bunch. Rated up to 2oz. Great pitching stick, should easily handle a 1oz jig. It handles anything 1/2oz and up great. Super light and super sensitive, but a little over your budget at $440 for that model. If you can find a sale or a promo code to knock the price down, it is well worth it. Tatula Elite AGS is also a great rod and in your budget. Long enough for flipping and bomb casting too. I like throwing 3/4oz jig+trailers on mine. The AGS guides make it really light and very well balanced. Sensitivity is great too. I mainly use the Rebellion and Veracity for frogging but sometimes will throw a jig with them, more so on the Rebellion. The Rebellion makes a great pitching stick and has good sensitivity for bottom dragging as well. I haven’t thrown jigs on the Veracity enough to judge how it is in that department, but it’s treated me well so far. Good luck with whatever you get. With that budget, you are bound to get a great rod. A lot of great sticks in that price range
  21. Probably Dobyns Champ XP 734c with 6.3:1 JDM Zillion SV. My go-to moving bait combo 7’2” MH Expride B with 7.1:1 JDM Zillion SV is a close 2nd though. I’ve noticed any rod I throw a Zillion on instantly becomes my favorite combo. Just a perfect reel that makes any rod comfortable to hold and any combo smooth to operate
  22. I have the 7ft medium Expride B spinning rod and although pretty stiff for a medium, I regularly throw neds on it just fine. It could definitely handle a 1/2oz jerk. I’ve never used the 7’2” ml but that might be pushing it. The 7’ medium has a max weight rating of 1/2oz
  23. Tatula 20 SVTW103H is just the regular Tatula SV103 in the US. Kind of a Tatula 100 with SV braking and spool the TTUSV70H on the other hand is the Tatula SV 70. Kind of a Tatula 80 with SV braking and spool both reels can be used for similar applications, the SV70 just has a smaller spool and frame
