Met 150 vs Curado 150
well thank you to those of you who suggested I go with the Met. I am very pleased I did. Stay well!

Tatula 100, Tatula CT and Fuego CT PSA
that is too much line for me. Would the Salamandura 103 or 70 fit the tatuala 100?

Met 150 vs Curado 150
unless I am mistaken it is only the shallow spool edition that uses an alloy main gear set.

Metanium on the way. Pretty excited.

Met 150 vs Curado 150
Is the 2020 Met B worth it now that the Curado 150 is out for 1/2 the $$$? Curado has basically same overall weight, same spool weight, lower profile etc. Honest thoughts? I can grab a second hand Met B for not much more than a new Curado. Thanks!

Steez Utility Player vs Megabass X-Bites
Thanks for uour response. I'm struggling to imagine the taper/power given the rods rating. It's listed as a heavy but never described that way. I can only assume it has like a M tip, MH mid section, becoming more heavy toward the reel seat. To me this sounds almost like the whipsnake taper only up a few powers. This is just my imagination of course.

Steez Utility Player vs Megabass X-Bites
I'd love to hear from anyone who prefers the Xbites, or from anyone who has both the Steez UP and the Target sniper. Thanks!

Steez Utility Player vs Megabass X-Bites
thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed and great answer. thanks so much. Most of my rods are fairly short so 7'3 length is a little intimidating but it sounds ike a great rod!

Steez Utility Player vs Megabass X-Bites
Thanks. I'm looking for 1/4oz-3/8 weight plus plastics. I have the sensor and I'm looking for something to compliment it, with a bit more power, but not a 3/8-1/2 plus plastics type of rod like BC2 or FMJ. What made you prefer the steez if you don't mind me asking? Thanks again.

Backlash issue with Fluorocarbon on baitcast
I'm fairly certain if they are 'clipped' they are off (upward position). The indent is to keep them stationary no? You would pull them out to be on (downward position) , this would allow them to freely move with the centrifugal motion of the spool. I don't have that reel but this would make sense to me.

Super cheap gems
I have to second this, I have 2, bought both on sale for about $50 CAD. Personally I had pay $300 CAD to find a reel I liked better... note: "liked" better, not "casts" better. Honestly, if they can do a version 2 with a smaller form factor they will break fishing.

Finesse Jig Setup?
I have the Steez mentioned above and it is amazing at so many things, particularly just what you are looking to do. It's hard not to recommend that rod. Given the price range you mentioned I'd take a look at the Daiwa Brent Ehrler Finesse rod as it seems to be a similar concept, but full graphite build. I can't say I've used it but I'm considering picking one up based on my experience with the Steez. Whatever you decide please report back how you are getting along with the new rod. I'm in the market right now for a second rod for this purpose and buying another Steez would be A. Boring and B. Expensive. Let me know how it all works out!

Recommend an all purpose casting rod on the lighter side.
This is what I was going to say...

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I ended up getting the Sensor, arrived yesterday. Limited experience with it obviously but I'm really very stoked on it right now, i think it was the right choice ? Maybe the blackjack will be my next one, who knows! Enjoy yours!

Steez Ags "The Sensor"
well I bought one and it is indeed much heavier than I expected. Feels best with a 7oz reel to me right now. Love the action though. These are just impressions from holding the rod after it arrived. Can't wait to get it out on the water tomorrow.

4 VS 8 Strand Braid When Tying FG Leader Knots...???
Make sure your leader line is a thicker diameter than your braid.

Steez Ags "The Sensor"
Thanks everyone. So I just ordered my Sensor rod. I'm pretty excited to fish it next week! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I did yes, I'm unsure as of yet. Not enough rods released and doesn't seem to be any new tech unless I missed something. There are so many amazing looking, and unique rods in the '21 JDM Steez ags line though. I've been drooling over quite a few of them.

How are you liking the Blackjack? Do you own "The Sensor" as well? I'm currently debating between these two rods ?

Steez Ags "The Sensor"
Anyone tried 5/8 total weight on this thing? If I could do 3/8 to 5/8 comfortably I'm sold.

Steez Ags "The Sensor"
Thanks for sharing your experience Scott. I appreciate it. Sounds like 1/2oz is not problem, check. Just curious what the weight of the reel you ended up with was. I'm planning on pairing this with an MGL 150 most likely. I believe they weight around 6.5-6.8oz. Thanks. Thanks alot for sharing your experience! I'm unsure about a stinger tip as I've never owned a rod with that design before, but I must say, I have been intruigued for sometime and was considering importing a Steez Firewolf for awhile. What size weights are you throwing with your free rigs and tokyo rigs? Curious what those rigs might weigh in your case. I've never owned a Loomis rod but they do make an 802C that looks pretty interesting to me. The specs on those look strange to me as well. What weight range do you normally throw on a 2 powered Loomis rod by chance? Honestly my most used rods are a ML and various M casting rods and the idea that I might be able to just bring one rod out to cover both powers is incredibly intruiging. I'm not as concerned about the weight if it isn't tip heavy, but ideally I'm throwing about a 6.5oz reel on this thing. Thanks again. Never owned one myself and I'm a bit skeptical. I've heard they can be very innacurate due to the backbone not loading correctly despite the tip. Probably depends on the particular rod though. Thanks for your help!
