High Pressured Bass Spots - Be Different!
you’re also keeping your bait in the strike zone longer, once you’ve established their preferred depth paralleling the bank works great from the shore too especially at night ?

The Found Lures Thread
Found a brown trout floundering on the surface of Congamond during a tourney in 2020? netted her and unbuttoned a brand new vision 110 in GG Pro Perch from across her face she lived to swim another day and I was rewarded for my good deed

What is your go to “I’m 100% gonna catch” lure?
The question is seasonal for example, I am 100 percent positive I will catch them on hair as soon as the ice melts probably a higher percentage than that if that is possible…….

How many different types of rods are required to be a complete fisherman? For the Elite Bassman only.
Sounds cynical, but one spinning and one casting set up will do the job now, if you’re taking about tournament bass fishing , taking the time to retie or change baits is a clock burner can’t catch em unless your baits wet

Favorite Size Keitech SIF for Smallies?
I’ve always been a Keitech guy but had a buddy of mine toss me some of the Big Bite Pro Swimmers 2.8 and 3.3” Small jaws seem to eat them just as good in the cold and so far they’ve been a lot more durable might give them an honest work out this season

Please be my Mentor
I prefer the KISS method (Keep It Simple Stupid) and I’m not directing that at you. You want to be successful in that scenario?, find the irregularities……. Look for the cuts, the twists and turns or the holes. Each of these indicates some kind of change in bottom and are your “high percentage areas”.

Jig Fishing Smallmouth
I’ll always have a finesse jig of some kind in my deck when fishing for smallmouth, but…….. Don’t discount a big jig for smallmouth, especially when fishing offshore these two fell for a 1/2 oz poison tail jig with a Zoom Salty Pro Chunk Just because they’re called smallmouth you would be surprised at how big a meal they will eat

hand tied synthetic, always on or slow swimming near the bottom. sometimes they just smoke it while dead sticked. The slightest current makes the hair pulsate

I prefer a 7’ ML spinning rod with #10 Suffix 832 as my main line and #6-8 Sunline Sniper as my leader. water hovered around 40 degrees and I looked for areas that transitioned to hard rocky bottom on the main lake. Hard bottom is key..... This day had them set up in 22-28 fow But don’t discount a blade or spoon on bait casting gear. They can be major players

Water hasn’t iced up here yet. I got out for a couple of hours on New Years Eve and they were eager to eat hair and cold steel let’s pray for a short winter

Near freezing water temps
