  1. What is your favorite glass crankbait casting rod that's shorter than 7' and less than $150?
  2. TW has been awful for me in this regard more often than not.
  3. Are the lunkers in Ivie still coming from the A-rig/Livescope combo? Last I heard, that's what pretty much everyone who had the resources was doing...
  4. Yes, I think it would be a nice combo for the price. It's hard to imagine a hands down better combo for less than $250.
  5. Here's a good video on the SLX lineup. I'm not crazy about the standard $99 SLX, although hard to beat at that price. The SLX XT is a much nicer reel for a little more $.
  6. Look no further: https://stcroixrods.com/collections/freshwater/products/triumph-casting The St Croix Triumph comes in 6' and 6'6". Fantastic rod for $100ish.
  7. The SLX XT is pretty hard to beat at $130. 7:1 or 8:1 gear for what you need.
  8. I've got a lot of new, unopened baits, especially crankbaits, in original packaging? How are you all storing baits in bulk in their original packaging?
  9. Anyone have cork knobs on their 2020 Met or 2021 Zillion?
  10. Looking for recommendations for a topwater casting rod 6'8" or shorter in Medium / Moderate Fast. Would be nice to have: -Made in USA -Cork -Split grip
  11. Possibly. Not counterfeit from Bass Pro, but there's a lot of reports of counterfeit high-end line from Amazon and Ebay.
  12. Any chance your Tatsu is counterfeit from Amazon or Ebay?
  13. ML, Light, and Ultralight casting rods, with quality BFS reels, have allowed me to completely eliminate spinning rigs from my arsenal. I no longer use spinning gear at all.
  14. Yes, I have a lot of experience with ML casting rods -- what's your question? I also have the Curado BFS.
  15. It's been a long time since I've purchased a rod longer than 6'8". I realized I was naturally gravitating toward the shorter rods (below 7') and unintentionally avoiding the 7' and up rods in my arsenal. I really wish you could still find production rods between 6'0" and 6'6", but there aren't many. Are the Avid X's you have spinning rods? I don't recall the Avid X casting rod being offered in ML, although I always wanted that option.
  16. With Yerger gone, as well as the staff from the Florida manufacturing facility, I'm wondering who in Ohio has the expertise required to manufacture rod blanks?
  17. Any of you guys ever used any of the Falcon Lowrider Peacock Bass rods for LMB fishing? I'm intrigued by the short rods for the Brazilian market.
  18. I realize this is more than your target cost, but the 6'10" St. Croix Legend Glass MH/M is one of my favorite rods of all time. It's one of those rods which comes along about once per decade. The Medium/Moderate version is similarly good.
  19. Cajun used to make their own blanks, which were phenomenal, in their Florida facility.
