it's def slowed down. Been out to Hillsdale a couple times this month and zero'ed both times. Had a little luck at some of the smaller local lakes. Where have you been going?

Went to lake olathe and got some nice bass - biggest was right at 17". Normally don't catch any bass out there - so it must have been a fluke. ;D

I would definetly go to pittsburg for a day or weekend and hit those pits!! ...oh the good ole college days! 8-)

Lead head with a single tail grub - watermelon and/or watermelon pumpkin seed - 3 to 4 inches. I seem to like the choppers best, not sure if the still have the single tail available anymore though... You'll catch a ton of them...

If kill creek isn't stained then I believe SMP is the best... Lake Olathe is really bad to me. Shawnee Mission isn't great but much better then Lake Olathe. Where have you been?

The fishing report in the KC Star this morning was saying the water temps were about 56 degrees, the bite should be starting to heat up pretty quick. What time do you think the bite will be going? Do you think there is much point to be there bright and early? Do you think you'd miss some good fishing by getting there around 10am? ;D Caught this young guy today...

No I didn't, by the time i got there,there was already 7 or 8 boats on the lake and most of them were camped out on the south side in the coves and on the points, so I didn't end up staying there.

Shawnee Mission should be getting good... 10 days ago the water was 50-51, so by this weekend it could be hitting mid 50's... I think so said you might check out SM mission a couple weekends ago, did you make it out there?

I wonder if Smithville has got any better then 10 days ago when they had a tournament out there wasn't many fish got? I would like to check it out some time soon...maybe if we get another week of good weather.... 8-)

...so where is everyone going this weekend? I can't hardly wait to get out and fish again! I'm needing some ideas of where to go...

How well do you do at Shawnee Mission? Shawnee Mission Park - I generally catch a few (knock on wood) every time out, but nothing really big though. A lot of the people out there are trying to catch catfish or bring there kids out to catch the blue gills... The best fish I caught was around 4 lbs and I was shocked when it surfaced! I've been around others that have caught wipers - which put up a mean fight! Do you ever go out there?
