  1. Have you ever seen an EP hunt? no, not an english pointer, but have hunted with many different hunting breeds. English setters are pretty awesome, except that long hair that gets everything in it. I think it's just about impossible to wear an EP out. That's why they win the majority of the horseback trials.
  2. Have you ever seen an EP hunt?
  3. I don't know a lot about vislas. It's funny that you ask though. Just yesterday, I had a conversation with a coworker who is a big fan of vislas and wiems. They are pretty dogs, but I have no experience with them.
  4. Arizona knocked Oregon out of the National Title picture in 2007.
  5. Any idea what the heaviest male smallmouth or spot might be?
  6. where can i get info on this http://www.imaginationbassin.com/gblanksproducts.htm
  7. Welcome to BR!
  8. Yes, I was referring to the long hair. They would get absolutely covered with stickers in some of the areas I hunt. Also, I like a dog that will cover a lot of ground when necessary. I'm not knocking setters, they're great dogs. They're just not for me.
  9. English Setters are great dogs, but they're too high maintainence for my taste. I would have to shave it before I could take it hunting. Labs just don't have the endurance for the type of hunting I do. It's an English Pointer. GSP would be my second choice.
  10. I hear one dollar bills are the best bait! ;D Welcome to BR!
  11. For $140 you can get a 7'6" MH/M GBlanks custom rod. That's what I use for deep cranking.
  12. Get yourself a Stillhouse map, and PM me your phone number.
  13. Thanks for the input guys, but that was definately a joke. Those who know me, know that I'm only interested in one breed.
  14. Decisions, decisions...
  15. Just six more years and you'll know what they're talking about! ;D By the way, I like Budweiser.
  16. Never fished Belton, but make the trip to Stillhouse several times. Not so much anymore. Still waiting on the hydrilla to grow back since the flood. Any idea how much longer till the grass will be back? I know several nice fish have been pulled out of there, but iv only managed a few dinks and sometimes will keep a few whites for the freezer. Clancy W I moved to Ft Hood in March of 2008, after the hydrilla had been killed off by the flood of 2007. I always heard about how much hydrilla had been there before, but I never experienced it. I can say that there is considerably more now than there was in 2008. There is still some realy good fishing there even without all the vegatation. Some of my best days of bass fishing in my life were on Stillhouse lake. Belton is worth checking out too. It has some of the best smallmouth fishing in Texas.
  17. Round Rock, huh? I know the area well. I just left Ft Hood in August. I dated a girl from Round Rock for awhile. Do you ever make it up to Belton and Stillhouse?
  18. I probably have about 200 shotgun shells and 50 rounds of .270 win.
  19. I used to hear that a lot, but I always did better on the main lake. I must have been doing something wrong.
  20. Welcome to BR! Be sure to check out the tacklemaking forum.
  21. Welcome to BR! Where are you in Texas?
  22. "It broke" sounds better than "I broke it". It makes it sound as if it was due to a manufacturing defect instead of negligence.
  23. Welcome back!
  24. I like to drag a Mattlures Mattshad along the bottom in the area where the bass were surfacing. Often, the bigger fish will be sitting on bottom waiting to pick up the dying shad that the schooling bass missed. Be sure to remove the treble hook to keep from snagging the bottom.
  25. Auburn will win. They'll probably go on to win the National Championship, and years from now, they'll lose it because Cam Newton was paid to play. USC and Reggie Bush all over again.
