  1. I don't think condition has anything to do with whether you like the rod or not. I had a rod in "great condition", but didn't like it so I returned it to get something I'd like more. He never said that he didn't like it until I asked. It seemed odd to me that he bought a rod in August, and he just now decided that he didn't like it.
  2. I'm still wondering why you returned a rod that was in "great condition".
  3. Well worth the wait! Looks like we might get to see it again.
  4. Not bad for a team that lost to JMU.

The SX3 is a sweet shotgun, but have you checked out the Browning Maxis? I bought last year, and I love it.
  6. I've been waiting for the Bedlam game all week. Only 18 more minutes!
  7. I don't think so. They're not in the SEC or Texas.
  8. Yeah, there are some people here who are more concerned with warranties than with buying quality products. I haven't used the Helium II LTX rods, but I'm sure they're great rods. I have Helium LTA, Argon, and Magnesium TS rods, and I love them. I've only had to deal with Kistler's customer service once, but they were friendly and helpful.
  9. Nobody? I guess I'll have to wait until BASSclary writes a review about it.
  10. Chaney had a bigger part of it in the book than in the movie. Also the character development of most characters was dumb down in the movie. Like the whole thing with Rooster Cogburn being in the Confederate Military and I'm trying to remember if LeBouf died in the book or not. It starts on my birthday (22 Dec). I'm pretty sure I'm going to go watch it.

FishingBuds, are you talking about the Winchester model 1300? That may be one of the reasons that they are no longer in production. I haven't handled the new SXP, but they definately look better than the 1300.
  12. Is anyone using this? I'm thinking about ordering a spool of the 8# from TW while the Black Friday sale is going on.

What do you think of the Browning BPS? It has bottom eject too. I bought the micro model for my son a few years ago, and I liked it, but my brother hated it.
  14. I can't believe you sent the reel off a $24 combo in for repairs in the first place. That's the one you should have taken to the BPS spring trade in.
  15. They had cans of Tequila in Kurdistan. We weren't allowed to drink, but I can only imagine.
  16. As "real" as what? Thats one of the most confusing statements I've read here?? They don't look as real as a real spinnerbait or.... I was thinking the same thing, but you beat me to it. They are cheap, the skirts suck, and they get bent out of shape easily. I haven't used them for years, but I used to catch plenty of fish with them. I think I still have a couple somewhere. I never liked the $1 buzzbaits though.
  17. She lost her arm at the very end of the book. That shouldn't really change the movie much, just the ending. I'm not sure what you mean by "relevence of Chaney's character and LeBouf". I do think Jeff Bridges is too thin to be a "one eyed fat man".
  18. I agree. I prefer bottled beer.

I remember that. I also remember thinking that if you asked a bunch of shotgunners for advice about fishing rods, they would probably suggest an Ugly Stik.
  20. I caught my personal best largemouth on one of those $1 Wal-Mart spinnerbaits several years ago.
