  1. I own a few LC's and I like them and have caught alot of fish on them. However, my number one crank for my home water is a Bandit 200. The LC GDS SSR kills on my buddies stock tanks though.
  2. I like Tru Tungston as well. I tried some others once but couldn't get my braid through the insert. I just ordered some TT weights from BTD yesterday. Probably should have ordered more.
  3. I am 5'9" and I use a 7'11" flippin stick with no issues.
  4. ude go to the freakin doctor and get the proper treatment for it. I sprained my ankles severely and several times growing up due to skateboarding. After the first one I never went to doctor again. I am payin the piper now. Both my ankles are very weak and "click". If I step on uneven ground or a small rock, I fall down. Once while walking from the car to the house I did this. I broke a whole set of new drinking glasses I was carrying. Go to the doctor. Cliff
  5. Thanks y'all!! Keep em coming. I have done the small weiners but I use chili sauce and grape jelly.
  6. I have seen part of it. Haven't caught the entire show yet. My brother in law is an apache pilot who is over there right now. He said those little outposts are all over the place in those mountains. It is an excellent documentary from the portion that I saw. Cliff
  7. So I am on a crock pot cooking spree lately and I think I am doing ok. So far I have made beef stew and pulled pork BBQ. Just put some potato soup on for today. If you have any good recipes for the crock pot and don't mind sharing I would love to see them. I know I can find tons online but thought maybe some folks here had something interesting for me. Thanks!! Cliff P.S. I am not too fancy so the easier the better.
  8. Maybe you could donate them to a local Cub/Boy Scout pack or other organization that takes kids fishing.
  9. Where I work we have alot of scrap metal, copper, and aluminum. The company however only scraps the metal. So we collect the scrap aluminum and copper from the wires after the electrical is completed. Then once a year we take it and turn it in. Split the profits four ways. It isn't a ton of money or anything, but enough for a few lucky crafts or something.
  10. When I first started out on here and with bass fishing, I got in on the "members challenge" (don't think they still have this) I was given the challenge of catching a two pounder on a t-rig worm. The challenge and some tips were given to me by a member named Avid. Good stuff that I use everytime I throw a t-rigged worm.
  11. Got to be one my favorites as well!
  12. I think that Mustang makes one that is more of a "proper" vest, maybe that would be better for you.
  13. I rerally like all my combos, but there is just something special about my Lamiglas Excel 703C/Revo S-L. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for most of the cover I fish, but I grab it up whenever I can!
  14. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1276898284 lots of good info in this thread.
  15. http://www.lamiglas.com/warranty.php With one piece rods you only have to send in the label section (fast track warranty) of the rod...I am guessing that would be a whole lot cheaper than sending a 7' rod complete.
  16. Me too, I like home field advantage.
  17. Kinda late being the second game is half over, but I have been saying all week, Steelers vs Packers....Steelers win it all.
  18. Very sad, I did not know the man personally. However, he did help me out several times on BR over the years. He once offered to mail me, at no cost, a life vest, as I was slowly getting all the things I needed to make my boat lake ready. I will dedicate my next trip to the lake to him. R.I.P. Jack!
  19. I have 7 combos total. I can take all of them in my Pelican Raider, but they don't all fit "comfortably." Normally I only bring four, I just choose the four I think I will most likely use depending on season/weather. Of those four I usually only end up using 1 or 2 of them. ;D
  20. Excel. I have the 7116C, 734C, 704C, and the 703C. Love every one of them. Lifetime warranty, Made in the USA, can't go wrong.
  21. Yeah I saw the review. I will be testing mine out tomorrow morning for the first time. I will post back with my review of the rod. Can't wait to get out there, its been like two weeks since I last wet a line, its killin me!
  22. I have been using the 10lb for a while now. I really like it, but I use braid for flippin and pitchin.
  23. I have had a Black Max for over two years now. It is a great reel in my opinion, I can cast it just as far as my Revo S's. It doesn't feel quite as solid as the Revo in your hand but for flippin/pitchin reel I think it would be just fine. Also, in my experience it takes a bit more time to get it dialed in for the bait you are using but it is not a big deal. My eight year old nephew can cast it pretty well. I have beat the crap out of mine and it still works just fine. Cliff
