Big skinny girl..
Yeah I don't know what was up with this fish. I have never caught one on this lake so skinny. In fact, I am sometimes amazed at how fat the dinks are. They look like little mini 10lbers!! The fish here always seem healthy and fight hard, this one not so much, I think it was sick.

Big skinny girl..
Kinda wish this one looked more like the girl behind the tequila glass! She was 23 inches long and only 5.7lbs. Caught it right off those rocks in the background, right on the ramp, 2nd cast of the day on a spinnerbait.

Season goal accomplished.
I have been struggling all year to catch 5 keeper size or better bass in one outing. Seems I always got stuck on 4. Well today I finally did it, barely! I caught 7 fish total, 5 of which were over the 14" mark. All but one were caught on a spinnerbait, the other on a crank. None of the fish were very big, here is a pic of the biggest one.

I need everyones help please.
Doing good y'all!! Had a nice morning on the lake. Caught 7 with 5 keepers. Catching a limit of keepers in one outing was a goal of mine this year, I can check it off finally. The cravings are not as bad as I thought they would be. Been chewing on seeds and hard candies. Thanks for the support!! Cliff

Stabilizing rudder for bass busters...
Thanks! I actually made one last week and have used it once, it works great!! I will try to get some pics up this weekend.

I need everyones help please.
Thanks guys! Another reason for me wanting to quit is that my mom, who has never touched a cigarette or dip for that matter, is having a surgery this coming Monday to remove a spot on her tongue that is pre-cancerous. Something to do with genetics the doctors have told her. She told me specifically to tell y'all to say her a prayer Monday morning!! Thanks Cliff

I need everyones help please.
I just went into my bathroom and dumped the last of my dip in the toilet and flushed it! I smoked from the time I was 14 to 24 then I gave it up for dipping and have been doing it ever since, I will be 33 in a couple weeks. I know it will be really hard but I am ready for, it is time for me to do this. If y'all have any tips, advice or words of encouragement I know I will need them, so post em up!! I check here everyday. Hopefully tomorrow morning some nice bass will come visit me in my boat to help me keep my mind off it!! Thanks guys! Cliff

who are the top 3 teams in the nfl?
I am a dallas fan and they sure are suckin this season. Steelers Colts NYG I hope Dallas wins tonight of course because I am a fan. However I have Eli Manning, Steve Smith, and NYG Defense starting in my fantasy league and I REALLY need a win!

I heartily recommend.................
I don't have this rod, I do however have it in casting and I use it for jerks and cranks. I have used it for flick shake too, it is my favorite rod.

Quick morning outing..
Yeah that timber is everywhere on this lake. In the 2nd pic, just to the left of the fish, in the background you see three stumps grouped up, that is where these bass were caught.

Living rubber jigs
Sorry guys, no reports yet, couldn't put the spinnerbait down(see outing section), and it got too windy for me to stay on the water. Gonna have to wait till another time!

Quick morning outing..
Classic spinnerbait weather this morning, cloudy and breezy. Breezy quickly turned into very very windy so I was limited to about and hour and a half. I caught five total. All on a 3/8 Terminator in chart/white. These two were the biggest and were caught on back to back casts to a submerged log in about two feet of water. I had one other small keeper and two dinks. Was fun!

whats you top producing crankbait colors?
Bandits pearl/chart back

Same reels or Different reels?
I am kinda anal about this. I like all my stuff to be the same, I don't know why. I guess I find something I like and stick to it. I have four combos, all are Revo S-L's mounted on Lamiglas Excel's. I have worked for about three years to get everything the same, now I am happy! ;D

Fishing Forearm?
Thanks for all the info guys. I iced last night for 20 minutes and again tonight. After each icing I used the "baseball" technique someone mentioned. This process so far has eliminated the pain. However, this morning at work as soon as I grabbed my hammer the pain was back and lasted all day until I just iced again tonight. I plan to be flippin and pitchin a jig all day friday so I will report back after that trip.

Lamiglas Excel
Just get the Excel at normal price! I have the 704C and although it is recommended for t-rigs I mainly use it for spinnerbaits. For t-rigs and senkos I use the 734c. For me it is perfect for these applications.

Living rubber jigs
Thanks guys, I plan to give them a good workout on Friday. I will let you know how I do.

Full or Split grip?
I like split grip. When I am making two handed casts I grab the butt, not the blank.

Fishing Forearm?
That is why I am getting concerned a bit. I do ALOT of flippin and pichin, but recently I was on a hot crank bite. But it has died so now I will be hittin the timber with a jig. Thanks for all the tips, gonna ice it down right now.

Fishing Forearm?
I am wondering if anyone here has pain in the top side of their forearm, which they think is due to fishing? Mine has been getting worse and worse. It isn't terrible, unbearable pain, but it has got increasingly worse and is now pretty constant. I did a bit of research and it seems the two big muscles in that area of the arm are responsible for moving the wrist. Anyway, anyone have any advice on how to deal with it? I am certainly NOT going to stop fishing like some websites recommended! Cliff

Living rubber jigs
Was looking through the jigs on *** the other day and came across these jigs that had a small "ball" shaped skirt. I think they were Skinny Bear jigs or something. Anyway, while I was sitting today watching Dallas lose, I figured I would try to make a few with a similar skirt. These are all made with living rubber. I stuck with black, brown, black/blue, black/brown, and green. I put them in some water with a trailer and they look pretty good. What do you think? Has anyone used jigs with this type of skirt? Here is a pic of the black/blue one. Here is an all black one with a green pumpkin rage craw (cut down), under water. I hope they work, I made about ten of them! ;D Thanks Cliff

Another question on Lamiglas Excel spinning
I have the 703 in casting. I use it for cranks and jerkbaits. I think it has plenty of power, hauled in a 5lber just last weekend on a jerkbait, no problems. I have also "swung" 3lbers into the boat with it. The 703 is my favorite of the four Excels I own.

Stabilizing rudder for bass busters...
Cool deal, that sounds good, better than welding a bunch of scrap steel.
