yes i like TW too, anything over $50 is free shipping, excluding larger items like trolling motors ($15 to ship) and rods and such. i mis typed my card number in once and they called me right away to see what happened cuz it was declined or whatever, gave the proper card number and all was well. if they sold rodbuilding stuff i wouldnt have to shap anywhere else!!

that sounds like it may be way better than what i did. would this be possible on a rod with guides in place? like spiltting the eva cone and placing it on? or would the split be too visable?

that is a fine lookin ramp man!! so in that pic, you actually have a piece of eva under there that you shaped before hand? so it basically is a filler right? looks good, i will keep workin on it!! thanks Cliff

yeah like finishing in front of the reel seat and between split grips. i actually made an attempt at it tonight. it came out...ok....i think anyway. i used loctite 6 minute epoxy mixed with a touch of acetone to thin it a bit. just applied it slowly until it looked nice and uniform all the way around the blank. and i just smoothed it out down the blank a bit. after the epoxy set up i wrapped it right up to the seat, then finished it like you would a normal wrap. i found that after the epoxy was applied (before wrapping), dipping my brush in acetone and using it to help smooth the "ramp" out worked pretty well. then i very very lightly used an alcohol prep pad and went over it one more time to smooth it even more. i must have made it the perfect angle cuz i had no issues with the thread wrapping right on up the ramp. but i think if it was any steeper i would have ran into problems. i am going to attempt more of these on my other rods that i havent done anything to in front of the seat. and i may do some in between the grips as well. keep the tips coming!! thanks Cliff

we got it last night. my truck is coated down with a nice thick coat. dont know how bad the roads actually are. the kids both are delayed a couple hours so i am gonna take the day off, my wife has no choice, she has to go in. i am in Waco, anyone else in the central texas area get ice last night? drive carefully!! i would never intentionally fish for muskie/pike without a steel leader, or a good set of pliers and jaw spreaders. i once had a pike that was about 28 inches long on a rope stringer, before i knew it was gone, and my stringer was ruined, cut right through it!! ;D

wish i could make it guys, sure would love to meet and fish with you all. but my vacation time (now that i have some) is spent on visiting my family. missouri for easter and ohio for 4th of july. maybe someday if it ever comes back to texas i can make it. have fun!! Cliff

my wife smokes newports and has been since i met her. although she dosent smoke very many, maybe a pack every two days or so. i started smoking when i was 14, quite when i was 24 and started dippin, then three years ago when we moved back to texas i started smoking again but only a few a day (menthols from my wife). i felt like i did back when i smoked a pack or more a day. my new years resolution was to give them up completely (again) and just stick to my dip. havent had a smoke since new yaers eve!! but i do dip a can of grizzly everyday. i dont think my wife has ever coughed up blood or anything, not to my knowledge anyway. my highschool english teacher told us he smoked two packs of non filters and a pack of kools for years and years, the kools were to cool his throat from the harsh non filters. he had quite some years before i was in his class, but he still ATE vicks vapo rub!!! i aint kiddin ya, a big ol gob of the stuff everyday in class!!! he said his throat was so tore up from all that smokin that he still had to cool and relieve it. for anyone interested in quitting dippin, try dippin the tea grounds after you make sweet tea at home, i actually did this for like a week not too long ago, but i love my griz so i went back ;D Cliff

i use the jewel eakins jigs with netbait paca craws/chunks for trailers, works good for me!

mine is about a half inch. i have one of those front pocket wallets, it has one section and a money clip. i carry, drivers license, debit card, fishing license, insurance card and three 2 dollar bills my dad gave me. he told me to never spend them, that way i can never say i am broke. thats it!

dont know about your wally worlds, but i found some nice deals tonight so ya might wanna check it out. they had strike king spinnerbaits for $2 stanly spinnerbaits for $1.50, trick worms for $2, rattle traps for $2. everything was good colors too. i bought three bags of trick worms, watermelon and green pumpkin, two of each brand spinnerbaits in white, chart, and chart/orange, plus two traps in two different shad patterns. they also had a bunch of gammy hooks and bullet weights for $1 per pack and a few other bomber, norman, rapala cranks for $2. just thought i would pass the word!! ;D Cliff

turkey, ham, and bacon. pickles, black olives, banana peppers, ranch, pepperjack. on honey oat not toasted, just the bacon warmed up

lake fork live magic shad's have been good to me, i think they make some larger versions too, although i havent found them anywhere.

mine is to quite smoking. i quit about 6 years ago, started dippin, now smoking again. so i figured one of the two is more than enough. i havent had a smoke since new years eve!

my wife sucks at this too, so now i send her a bunch of links to tackle warehouse, then she can pick and choose which ones i get.. for my b-day i got an MS slammer, BBZ-1 shad and some spot removers. but this year i told everyone to get me academy gift cards so i can get the rest of the stuff i need to get my new boat on the water!

here is a couple So this very very beautiful and voluptious(sp?) blond is in a casino in Vegas. she goes up to the craps table and throws down $20,000 on a single roll of the dice. before she rolls, she says, "i hope you all dont mind, but feel much luckier if i am naked when i roll the dice." so she strips down to nothing, rolls the dice and starts jumping up and down screaming exceitedly, "i won!!" she grabs up her clothes and her winnings and leave the casino. one dealer looks to the other and says "what did she roll?" the other says, "i dont know, i thought you were watching!!" a man walks up to a bar and orders a beer. he chugs the whole thing down and slides the mug to the far end of the bar. he says to the bartender " i bet you $100 i can stand on this bar and miss in that mug without spilling a drop" the bartender accepts, knowing well that he cant possibly do it. so the guy gets up on the bar and proceeds to miss all over the place, on the bar, on the bartender, not even coming near the mug. the bartnder, even having just been urinated on, chuckles and says "you fool, why would you make that bet, it was impossible?" the guy says, " you see those two guys in the corner over there, i bet them $1000 i could miss all over you and your bar and you would laugh about it!" ;D
