If someone took you on a bass fishing trip to a random lake in the country, and you could only take 1 lure what would it be? Mine is a Rapala Ripstop Minnow (Or if I owned one, a pre-rapala Wiggle Wart, pb&j craw) I should probably have picked something more orthodox, like a senko or a jig, but I have so much confidence in that lure.

I'm gonna use it for a year, then I can upgrade to a surf reel for the salt and also a curado. I won't have to hate myself for too long. Thanks for the information though.

I'm looking for a lo pro baitcaster that can do it all. Frogging, jigs, spoons, spinnerbaits, big channel cats, and cranks (deep and shallow). I'm also using it for striper surf fishing in the Lower Hudson and Sandy Hook during the season. Is there a reel that can do it all under $200?
