Good baitcaster under $200?
Is it really that good. What reel would you compare it to? A metanium, Curado DC, or even better?

Good baitcaster under $200?
Thanks for the advice. I want to try and stay under the 200 budget. I also want to try something other than lews, revos, and daiwas. In all my year's of baitcasting, the only time I tried a shimano was the chronarch my friend lent me when I forgot my revo sx. Super impressive. I was scared of the price of shimano for so long, but the bait monkey has been whispering in my ear for quite a while about the curado series, and now I am convinced I need one. Would an mgl work?

Good baitcaster under $200?
Thanks. I'm a bank fisherman ever since I made a horrible decision of selling my Old Town. I would like an all around workhorse reel, I don't need one for lighter baits, because I have a spinning setup with 6 lb flouro. I just want one that can bomb 3/8+ oz lures into the teeth of the wind I'm still leaning towards a Curado K or mgl.

Good baitcaster under $200?
Believe it or not, the Tatula HD. I may have just gotten a bad one, but it kept locking up when I was reeling.

Good baitcaster under $200?
I had some really bad experiences with my daiwa reels. I want to try Shimano, too. Any suggestions?

Good baitcaster under $200?
Thanks. I also need a 200 size reel at least because I'm also on a mission to empty those nasty carp from my reservoir for good. Thanks, the Fury was given to me as a gift. The Aird X is a great frogging rod, and at a good price but I will upgrade.

Good baitcaster under $200?
The thing is, I have 800 dollars left for my reel, rod, lines and lures. I divided up my two reels for a $200 dollar budget and don't want to eat up the lure money. I also sold my kayak (stupid decision) and am now a bank fisherman. I heard the curado K can empty a spool for heavier lures, which I am using my baitcaster for. What are your suggestions.

Good baitcaster under $200?
I recently sold all my old tackle at a yard sale to get some new blood in my tackle box. This time, I want to put more money into lures than getting a ton of reels like I had done before. I'm getting a mh Dobyns Fury and an heavy Aird X, and I have a spinning outfit with 6 lb flouro. I'm thinking about getting one or two baitcasters under $200, and spooling with 40 lb powerpro. What are your suggestoins?

The reviews said it wasn't meant for walking. But I guess they were wrong.

Best Frogs?
I usually fish a highland reservoir, but recently I found a shallow creek where I saw some bass blowing up on forage. I also saw a lot of frogs there, so I want to buy some topwater frogs. Are there a few frogs that can cover all of the boards for me under $25? The bass are northern bass, so smaller frogs will work better.

Topwater frog not producing
Launch frog xs's have some weight to them but offer a downsized presentation.

Dangerous experiences?
If it was barbed that would be 100% hospital. Leaving it out like that could get it infected too

Dangerous experiences?
Forget about Goliath tiger fish. Jeremy Wade would have his hands full there.

What are some of the most dangerous/painful or just scary experiences you had while fishing?

Classic Lures
The pop-r's are in a class of their own. The wee craw was quite a lure, too.

The Found Lures Thread
The bait monkey hides lures from me so I can keep spending, but my friend found a wpl 90 in munky butt that I can't seem to find at dick's anymore.

If a top-shelf bass fishing celebrity could join BassResource...
I would want the walleye cheaters to join bassresource just to give them a piece of my mind.

Classic Lures
The problem with the prop bait was that it was replaced by a whopper plopper. What no one realizes is that the whopper plopper will die off after some time, but the prop bait has a more natural noise that won't throw off fish.

Classic Lures
What are some time tried lures or lure designs that still work but no one really throws anymore. Like a hula popper or a jitterbug.
