I wound up buying the Victory 7'1" MH. I like it. For its power rating it's light (3.7 oz). Matched it with a Daiwa Exceler LT 4000. The whole outfit is balanced and light. It casts very well. It's rated to 3/4 oz. but handles an ounce without feeling overloaded and limp. Great sensitivity as well.

I have the Victory 6'10" MLXF and absolutely love it. In all the reviews I have read I cannot find one for the 7'1" medium heavy rod spinning. I've seen them for the casting rods. Has anyone used one? The 6'10" MLXF seems to cast further than similar rods that I have and has good hooking setting power. I'd like a 7' medium heavy for jigs and heavier lures.

Has anyone tried it? I've seen reviews both yea and nay. I'm not a firm believer in any attractants. I've fished my plain plastics swim baits alongside a friend who always used Gulp baits. He never outfished me. I do use anise scented gels only because I like the smell but it's no great advantage.

I have to stop watching fishing videos cuz I wind up buying all kinds of stuff. I just saw a video about the Red Eye Shad. It has a unique action almost like a Senko. On a slack line it falls straight horizontally with a wiggle. I bought all 3 weights in different colors. I hope they work!

Years ago on a large farm pond I caught 30 bass, the largest 6 lbs. on the original Bagley small fry bream. Haven't had a day that good since. But I fished it back in October and to my surprise I caught an 8" bream.

Has anyone tried these and is one better than the other? I already have the Berkley Powerbait Gilly which I have yet to get a fish on but have had only limited time with. It looks great in the water.

I love my senkos. Must have 40 lbs. worth. They work in salt water too. When I lived in Florida I caught a 70 lb. tarpon and 36" snook on them.

Fished Spinney Reservoir in Colorado in September. We were going for pike. My wife was throwing a large Zara Spok and caught a 25" rainbow. I caught a 24" on a rattle trap. We were amazed.

If there is something to snag on, I use 12 fluoro but on rocks, gravel, sparse weeds, 6 lb fluoro . Have landed a 41" pike (a miracle) and 14 lb carp on 6 lb, light action spinning rod. I'll admit, it does get nerve racking when they are big

I have an Ark Tharp Series Casting Rod 7' Hammer and the Okuma Tournament Concept TCS "a" 7' Med Hvy. Both are great all around rods. I can throw weightless 4" senkos and bomb out 1/2 oz. spinnerbaits with both.

Maybe it's just me. I have a Diawa Zillion, a few 2020 Tatula SV T103's along with the new Shimano Curado MGL 150 and Scorpion MGL 150. They are all great reels but the both Diawa's have a nasty habit. Example, when using spinnerbaits and going for distance, I think I have them all dialed in for no backlash. I'm tooling along just fine but with the Diawas, if I forget and overpower the cast, they will blow up in the very beginning of the cast. If I make adjustments to prevent it, I lose distance. I haven't had that problem with those 2 Shimanos. But for skipping, etc, the Diawas are great. Anyone else have that problem? I've read that can be a problem with magnetic brakes vs centrifugal.
