  1. I like the idea of adding or taking away to control drift rate.
  2. When tension/stress comes into play l’m concerned about a secure connection. Rivets seem best for the trolly. Only thing is rivets only bulge unlike an anchor that splits and “wings out”
  3. I saw a yak with a bow a stern that had openings to run a line through.
  4. I saw a guy talk about bungee rope for the trolly line.
  5. From the anchor weighing down on the guide O ring as you lower it or just from age ? All are except the toggle bolts for the added handles l put on. Thought about as l popped in the toggles. Once l add the access panel l can redo them.
  6. Last one of his vids he mentioned 3 hours no bites… skunk days !
  7. Guess I should have used rivets, yeah. The seat and foot rests are riveted, everything else is screws. I just didn't want to spend the money for a larger riveter. Even rivets don't totally secure. and nylon straps pivot. The handles pivot even with toggle bolts so I guess it's just as secure.
  8. on lakes, creeks, rivers with possible snags. Will the bottom one be less prone to get hung up ?
  9. Funny l have a well nut on my tumbler, l’ll give one a shot and see how it goes! Picked up toggle bolts. I need to add a access panel then l’ll be able to get inside to do anything else. Even with a secure connection up against plastic the handles turn a bit. Probably a good thing the pads on the handles turn a little, it takes the stress off the bolts and hull.
  10. Are the more expensive yaks tougher contracted plastic than the cheaper ones. The Pelican blitz was $ 429 Concerned about screws coming loose.
  11. Fresh water is a musky/pike and then the snakehead
  12. I like the idea of emergency stuff, rain poncho, first aid, headlamp, etc… or stuff that needs to stay dry. Any brand better than others?
  13. With this possible storage area, any ideas for a lid access ? something like this ?
  14. Yes a standard milk crate fits with room to spare. Just two plano lure boxes, one with hooks and jig’s and the other with lures. A soft bag with soft plastic worms and shad and craws. Still thinkin on other stuff.
  15. A standard milk crate fits fine with a room to spare. Don’t plan on anything up front yet. Gonna put a parka in the crate. I already removed the foot rests. That rubber net up at the forecastle is still empty. Like the idea of slipping the paddle there while casing. Put on handles where the molded ones are, ran a runner bungee from pad eyes on either side of the seat to leash my net from one side to the other, reinforced the stern and bow eyelet with flat washers with JB weld for the handles. Need lumbar and gel cushions… gotta have that, a little boost. That’s about it.
  16. Thanks for your input. Yeah l agree completely just go and fish and go from there. Mainly for now the crate will be the biggest improvement for now. Gonna do a large lake soon. Waiting for more consistent warm weather
  17. Add ons. I picked up a Pelican Blitz 100 X and seen some add ons to make it easier to use. Doing some basic add ons, handles instead of molded ones, adding pad eyes, laynards, etc....
  18. Like pitching into cover ? Not following The videos l watched he doesn’t mention what body of water most of the time and if he does he doesn’t mention where exactly he’s positioned.
  19. All of it
  20. Your response
  21. The guy lives in the area and knows where they are, that's not practical ❔
