  1. looking looking for brownish line, didn't see any brown line on thier website
  2. exploring options, tired of wasting money.
  3. I used Spider wire 15 pound moss green braided, so when you say "how the bait can move" the pro v2 is supple. More flexible ? Certain braided line doesn't jig the bait more naturally and does color matter ? I read also on TW reviews that they have line breaks, one guy has knot breaks another great knot strength on a leader. But any body knows that line should be scrapped if it frays. Do you power pro users have strong fraying resistant line ? And is conditioner needed ? The spider wire has wax on it but after awhile comes off.
  4. should they droop only allowing the mouth to partially protruding above the surface when still ? I saw a vid of splashing water in front of the mouth when popped. I didn't notice this with mine today. I didn't tie directly to the integral ring and added a slip ring to it to ease a swivel latch to attach. Should I attach line directly to the popper for correct action ?
  5. sorry for hijacking this thread
  6. think I should go with a brown line ? The Spider wire gets frayed easy on branches and wood.
  7. sounds like I could do better with X9 then. Might have to order it on line, moss green might be hindering me a bit ?
  8. If you had to choose Berkley X9, Sufix 832, Kastking kast pro, Cortland Master braid over spider wire what one would you choose ? And why.
  9. since mid April on a lake and a creek I fish at a point off the lake I see bluegills galore. I bank fish and don't boat fish.
  10. Hi, Disgruntled now about catching some bass, early mid april, but almost died out the last few weeks of May. Caught *** pound bass the 10th. Between moss that tops the water cogging line to pass through bail and snags galore, texas rigs help but not much. Today I tried a top popper, a half ounce crank bait and a silver spoon, the spoon picked up all kinds of crap. Early Mid April Senkos texas rig and wakey rig and trick worm on a ned and shakey head did it for me for the most part, but dies out the last few weeks. Does it vary spawning wise, or does it depend on the area in regards to food source? Maybe it's my finesse isn't good enough. I have an app of teenagers catching some nice bass once in awhile, I caught a 4 and a half pound one
  11. An X coworker got me back into fishing and I'm full of questions due to his ability or just catching fish verses me not as much. If they're there and want to eat fine if not try another spot. I need to be on the water. Walmart has a nice kayak for about 250. You can only fan an area so much and the banks of the creek are difficult to cast.
  12. what size are you using ? Step up to a larger hook. or this... or this ... I missed fish, big ones on the first.
  13. polycarbonate lip to dive beneath the surface and provide erratic crankbait-like deflections in shallow water. Is it effective deeper water too ? guess it doesn't matter where the eyelet is ? I think that bill will hang up on branches
  14. that weed guard really keeps that hook from hanging up even on branches and such ?
  15. for long worms, should of used a TRD worm DUH
  16. just needs a 2/0 hook for bass in my opinion
  17. this is what I used today......
  18. Don't be so hard on yourself ! LOL So do I ! I just bought shakey head jigs and they work great, every cast just about I get hits, however the hook is to short and I can't seem to set the hook fast enough ! LOL
  19. whadda trying to say? LOL You get through wood with no problems ? Or is it more having tough line to get you through?
  20. I watched a video on you tube and it makes sense how it jigs over an obstacle. The eye on the head is offset, not horizontally inline to inhibit the lure from popping up over instead. Guess it just takes a little finesse and practice to prevent the hook from getting snagged and a slow deliberate working through the water is key to prevent any snags.
  21. I use texas rigs to prevent snags and that's it. No weight, just the worm. With a trailer does it change the fall rate, does it matter ? Falling over when it hits bottom.... with a creature trailer or crustacean or salamander would it still fall over?
  22. The reason why I'm leaning on texas rigging with a skirt is I'm new to jigging and don't want to loose em too often until I get the knck of jigging through tough areas.
  23. slither jigs can take a 2/0 EWG off set?
  24. actually I found bass jig skirts on ebay you slip over the eye of a hook. I'm hope they hold on tight enough and not have trouble with them. I want to add a skirt to a EWG offset, with a trailer.
