  1. I use the 1/8oz 1/0 guppy head on the micro rig with 2.75 baits. Never had any issues bending but I'm also using a normal mh/f rod and 12lb hybrid.
  2. TW week 1 sale fun, minus the split ring pliers to replace a pair I lost last year.
  3. Was supposed to be a day of chasing striper but they didn't want to play so pretty quickly became a bass fishing trip. All fish again on a flashy swimmer.
  4. Another fun morning, first keeper size A rig fish of the season Couple spook fish, 2nd was a quick pic as they were still boiling in the background. 3 more on BFS as things settled down a bit
  5. Striper have been getting a little more active recently, caught a bunch the last 2 days on top water.
  6. All my recent catches that were not BFS rats. Minus the senko fish every one came on a flashy swimmer + xzone swammer.
  7. The hookup tackle sent out a similar announcement basically said if you're planning to buy one hold off till Friday
  8. Found these yesterday, anyone have details on the weird 2 piece crankdown thing besides it looking like a hook tangling nightmare?
  9. Going out next week to chase striper from a boat, so a few goodies are inbound
  10. The free hanging wire is replaceable, I have had them get beat up to the point where they get ripped off and need to be swapped.
  11. for the lefty retrieve guys Amazon is selling the 7 speed Tatula Elite for $154. https://www.amazon.com/Daiwa-Tatula-Elite-Baitcasting-Reel/dp/B07VXC5LPS/
  12. There are 2 versions of the 500, the standard max which is decently high pitched, and a DRS version with a deep rattle.
  13. Bladerunner spin trix, coolbaits down under, and dirty jigs finesse are my favorite exposed hook. Flashy swimmer for weedless.
  14. there's a code this time around. PUMPKIN25
  15. Are. Restricted items won't show a discount in the cart but the very last page of checkout the price drops and it will reflect the discount price on the email invoice
  16. Anyone received a link yet? EDIT: Interesting, I am already signed up for the mailing list but as an experiment I signed up again and instantly got a link for the sale discount on the website. Still nothing in email. Can also confirm restricted items (at least megabass) are being discounted.
  17. Slow day at the forebay but no skunk so I'm happy. first a-rig fish of the year is not a giant. got a couple more of similar size one decent fish probably 16-17" on top water. of course pinned all 3 points of the treble in the mouth with pliers in my car. had to give poor guy the kung-fu grip and run up the bank, still got a hook point in the finger for my troubles.
  18. Bass pro tourney special crank maybe?
  19. The Shimano world minnow has an impressive weight transfer, I'd say equal to the rerange and megabass LBO baits. But I'm with @Huckfinn38 on this one, if it's blowing that hard I'm staying home.
  20. wacky senko chunk from the bank today. I was hoping to striper fish but the weather isn't cooperating.
  21. ALF secret sale is on, 20% at the moment.
  22. The striper here smash the rig from fall through to spring, it's probably favorite lure this time of year. I'll get a few LMB but they're going to mostly be bycatch. I mainly throw the hog farmer mini 5 wire 4 blade with 3x1/8oz heads, 3.8" keitech/rage swimmer main and 2.8" teasers. Expride 7'6" MH or 7'7" H with a bantam mgl is my go-to. I also use the full size hog farmer rig with 4.8" main and 3.8" teasers but that gets thrown on a Dobyns 794.5AR.
  23. Amazon is selling the frabill conservation net for $59 normal price is $99-119 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08Q7N6Z5V/ref=sw_img_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
  24. Picked up a couple CR-10s that Amazon was selling for half price recently, unfortunately one was a return that someone had swapped a generic crank into. Amazon made it right, was just funny opening the package and seeing this junk.
  25. more 30% off stuff at the hookup tackle
