This is my first time trying them. TW doesn't sell the dobyns jigs anymore and these are a very similar build just a different hook so figured I would test them as an alternative. ~$3.50 sale price is pretty nice too.

I use an 8:1 for big a rigs and top hook/beast hook swimbaits on a dobyns 794.5ar. Reel is a peach, landed my biggest striper of 2024 back in April. I've honestly never thrown a "light" bait with it so I can't comment on that aspect but I have to assume it can throw a bladed jig.

I should respool it with some blue sufix one of these days

Depends on the product I suppose. They sent me a used Columbia PFG shirt with stains still in the green plastic return bag once, but the return/replacement was painless. I've also hit the Amazon lottery a couple times on fishing gear. 5 pack box of jackhammers, 4 pack box of 1oz kastmasters, and a bag with 5 packs of adrenaline craws. No cases of reels yet unfortunately.

Yea a number of times both direct from Amazon, sellers shipped by Amazon, and Amazon Japan. Highly unlikely you would get a counterfeit, I don't think they even really exist, there are clones but not 1:1 fakes. The worst that could really happen is you get a returned/used reel sold as new since Amazon doesn't sanitize their inventory.

Got striper up to about 6lbs this year on the 110 and 130, no issues but haven't hooked into a DD yet. 65s are still available, hookup tackle has them. I have a couple and got some blowups this year but no fish connected.

That color is called golden retriever, and stock up I think rapala is nuking all the 13 fishing baits. I'll also toss out a rec for my favorite the duo realis pencil series.

Only 2 models on TW that I can see and ones you don't hear much chatter about, the 610m glass and 7HF. All ALF prices back to normal now as well.

Unlikely since they have been adding new models to the lineup as of last icast. Looks like ALF secret sale is on, all Shimano discounted.

I don't own any of their rods but that's a steep discount and I know a lot of folks like the brand. Alf basically said in the promo email that these aren't selling so seems like they're just trying to move inventory.

In the last year a full Plano flex box, recovered about half the items but the box was gone, a rod sleeve, and a pair of rx sunglasses.

I don't have any popr or chug bugs but I throw 1/4oz size poppers, pop-x, bubble popper on 6lb trilene xl and a 610ml bfs rod.

Cold foggy morning on the river. Post front, pre front, all the fronts conditions. First fish of the day, 23" didn't get a weight, pulled off the bottom near a flowing pump with a 3/4oz swim jig. Second and last fish of the day, also swim jig on the bottom. Mr. Owl did not approve
