What are your favorite Bladed Jig trailers and what conditions do you fish them?

What are your 3-5 go to lures for water temps under 50*
This. Anything you can just sit and soak. I do like spinnerbait and bladed jig in the spring. Just not for the first thaw. Fish are still moving slow here during that time.

soft swimbaits
Came here to say exactly this. As pointed out, the Dolive Shad has a keeled belly and when you kill it, it continues to glide along nicely...while still wagging and rocking. Whereas something like a Keitech noses down and the tail more or less collapses.

Supporting Local Tackle Shops
Not much for local tackle here for bass fishing. And especially not for the JDM stuff I favor. So most of my purchases are online. I think even small retailers can have an e-store for less than $75 a month through companies like Shopify. It may or may not be worth it for some.

Can confirm it does this. Also, it has a flat bottom to prevent roll over. PM sent.

Nice little goby bait. What is it?

bladed jig Micro Trailer?
Yes, you're supposed to feel it. If you can't, the rod you're using is too heavy.

All around Texas rig
You'd totally dig the Jackall Revoltage Drift Craw or the OSP Dolive Shot.

I wished I have done it sooner
In the opposite, perhaps. I made a line stripper with a piece of wood and attach it to a drill. Works perfectly. On the other hand, I feel like I can't do without my line spooling tool, so I invested in one of those.

Switch over to topwater crankbaits for that!

must have lure colors
Dark: Blue/Black/Purples Light: White/Pearl Something that mimics your local forage in color (bluegill, shiner, shad, goby etc)

What lures do you intend to use more in 2025?
Correct. I fish some rock piles like this and bounce a football-head bladed jig across them. I've also fished these with a Jika Rig. No reason you couldn't do the same with a jig!

Most expensive spinnerbait I have ever seen
All joking aside, fishing culture in Japan is on another level. Most fishing company CEOs are household names for fisherman there (and JDM fanatics worldwide). Some of these guys are rock stars! They're on TV, weekly pod casts, magazines, etc (there's glossy, color magazines dedicated to nothing other than fishing lures in Japan! ) Namiki is certainly one of the better known and beloved CEOs (he started OSP). He's responsible for some of the greatest JDM lures ever made. And he's definitely fish crazy. His college thesis was on bass fishing! In the US, you may have seen him on The Hook Up Tackle's channel. Always fascinating to hear his mindset on why he created a bait the way he did. So if this was a special handmade spinnerbait by Namiki, I could (somehow) see it commanding such a price....though I do agree with others in thinking this was just a price typo. If you think those is steep, you should see the price of some of the Japanese swim baits made by artisans there! 4 figures...

I've been wanting to try these. I think they'd be a perfect match on a Free Rig.

Interesting. Wonder if these were hand made by Namiki imself?

Circle or Octopus hooks on a crankbait
I've been wondering the same after Gamakatsu released a hook like that at iCast this year https://fishingtackleretailer.com/gamakatsu-announces-crankbait-circle-hook/

All around Texas rig
I agree with all of this. The only difference for me is the baits that I use. Oh, and I always used a bead. Widely used in Japanese Free Rig. The primary reason was to protect the knot from the fine-wire of the Free Rig weights. In lieu of a bead most now use a rubber/silicone "cushion". My 2 favorites are below.

I may have posted this already, but this video gives some excellent tips and details on how to fish. This is my favorite video on the topic.
