  1. Give me your address and it's yours! Truth be told, I am rather unlikely to use this....and would much rather see it put up proper use! Was either the Spunk Shad or the Zako. Blue looks like the Zako I think?
  2. So I had a Berkeley Pit Boss mixed in with a couple other baits and some color bleed occurred. But the results are rather spectacular! I bet this color gets annihilated! Standard colour right, bleed color left. So what's your story? Have you had a similarly spectacular bait bleed one off?
  3. Fantastic! I want a test pool like that in my house! LOL 😆
  4. I use finesse (light wire) stuff 1/0 and smaller. Haven't found inexpensive stuff yet! LOL 😆
  5. Anything you need it to be? Crab? Bug? Creepy crawly? Can do multiple presentations. This video is better..They show it cut in half like a bug. And nose hooked it definitely looks like a creepy crawly.
  6. You shouldn't have to "figure out" how to buy something from a website. The entire process should be intuitive and easy.
  7. What about Raid Japan 2Way? It's creepy crawly looking..
  8. Drop shot, Jika or Free Rig
  9. Thanks again for the kind words
  10. No joke! We keep an epi pen with us.
  11. Indeed. Those are my worries as well. Here's an anecdotal story: https://theminimalistfisherman.com/2-warnings-for-all-fishermen-im-in-severe-pain-right-now/
  12. Here's how compact my Edge 3600 are.
  13. I've been wanting to try a sling. I like the EGO version with the magnitized tray. I currently use this and quite pleased with it: https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/255752-minimalist-fishing/?do=findComment&comment=2999001
  14. On my bucket list is to fish a legendary Texas pond!
  15. I see Fishgrips has a Mini version now. https://thefishgrip.net/products/the-fish-grip-mini
  16. One of the best groups to ask are kayak fishermen. The serious ones immediately clamp the fish and drop it right back into the water while they get their gear straight, net put away, measuring board out, etc. So they know which ones work the best.
  17. I just use a basic, heavy duty spring clamp. A few bucks each. And for a compact, cost effective scale, I pair the clamp with a luggage scale.
  18. I believe there are other things we do habitually that pose a far greater threat. For example, getting a water borne illness from putting your bait in your mouth poses a far greater threat. Ditto getting said water in an open wound, however minor. Perhaps West Nile disease from a mosquito bite? Lyme disease from a tick bite? And my father is dying from skin cancer that was smaller in size than a dime. He fished 3-5 days a week, so I'd imagine that's how he got it. I should do a PSA with the photos of where it started vs where he is now. I think more people would wear sun screen. Your worries would be far down the list for me. However, you need to do what you think is best for you and yours and please don't take my reply as a form of gaslighting. Was not my intention.
  19. Theres 4 bolts holding it on. Am debating putting a rear casting platform in lieu of wing. Looked at them and yes, shockingly expensive. Plus you get very wet! This rig is bone dry and feels far, far more updcale. Here's a detailed review if anyone is interested Agreed on all points. Very easy to launch/retrieve solo too.
  20. I think in clear water the details of some baits could offer an advantage. I fished the Fish Arrow Flash J last week and it's probably one of the best looking minnow lures I've used. The perch and crappie wouldn't leave it alone. Water was ultra clear, so I think added details, whether flash or other realistic bits certainly won't hurt. But I think in all but the clearest of waters they may be of limited use. YMMV.
  21. Too funny. This has been used by walleye fisherman for eternity here. Good to see the bass fisherman catching on! LOL 😆 I think in the walleye world this technique is called "moping".
  22. No, the pedestal seat is part of the casting deck I built. I added it more as a lean-to, as I have become VERY accustomed to the casting bar on my Scout. I tried fishing sitting down in a kayak and it just feels "off" to me. Just not enjoyable to me. Fishing standing just adds "something" for me. So I just wanted a seat or casting bar. In addition, my brother likes to fish for walleye, so with the seat in the lowest position with the Scotty Extension and rod holders on either side (not shown) it'll make a really decent trolling rig too. Tohatsu has the slow troll selectable idle, so I can drop it down to 650rpm. Astute observations about the 420. I would have liked to, but there was a substantial jump in price. 420 also has the fuel tank below the floor. Good or bad depending on perspective. And yes indeed, truly sea worthy and capable in frighteningly big water. We live in a Lake that turns sour in the blink of an eye. Virtually everyone has a "the time I almost didn't make it back" story and I intend to mitigate that in every way possible if my wife is on board. That trumped most other requirements.
  23. I've been using a Scout 365 for the past years and no worries. But this is a "real" boat and my Scout was more kayak/small inflatable.
