  1. Hey Whts up Jason ! I have had good luck with the bronzeye over the depps but I just got some of the River 2 Sea and have yet to try them but if looks can tell anything thys should be about the same but last a little longer as far as color staying on the body and the the body slipping down the hook. I will let you know more once I get the boat in since its finally done. ;D
  2. yes I bought one last year and the couple of times I have thrown it ya I got some nice size bass with it. And some realy really nice pike too.
  3. I used SilverThread last year and liked it but I switched over to P-Line Flouroclear and this stuff is amazing. Very little memory, cast great, sensativity is good, and the price $15 for 300 yards spectacular.
  4. YOu do realize that those rods are designed for bottom bouncing techniques. They should work for all purpose. Anyways good choice.
  5. The materials to make the pinion gear and spur gear adifferend between the Curado and citica. The Bearing that is missing is the worm gear bearing, I put one in my citica and not much of a difference BUT it replaced a bushing so over time is where the big difference will be. Also the Curado 100d has a wiffle spool where the citica 100dvs has a deep spool. Wiffle spool is a little easier to cast lighter lures but not that big of a difference. I only have 100 size shimanos ( curados, citicas, chronarchs 50mg ) I got rid of all of my old 100b's and got the new 100d's and love them alot more. There are extremely smooth. For the price of $150 the curado is the only way to go if you do alot of fishing. If not get the citica and you will still love it.
  6. CURADO cant go wrong for 150
  7. Personally I would go with the MH Fast. But thats just me. Did you see the write up on this rod on Tackle Tour it explains alot. I was going to buy a Camura for the exact same purpose you are looking for and I decided on the MH Fast if I would gt one of those but I went to another company instead. Good Luck.
  8. There are pics and prices and tey are in stock http://www.***.com/descpageRLCSHIMANO-SCU20D.html
  9. Contact Kistler and talk to them THey have a great customer service and you dont have to wait on hold.
  10. I always wondered could th curado be that much better than the citica for and extra $80. And to me the answer is yes. I boughta citica 100 and loved it . Then I used a friends curado 100 and its much smoother on the retreive. If you use the reel for hours per day yes I would get it over the citica. But if you only fish an hour or so every couple of weeks that the citica cant be beat fo the price.
  11. So how many days next week do you plan on calling in sick. ;D Great looking boat and congradulations.
  12. I also have those exact rods and they are nice. BUT those rods where from before Shakesohere took over. I have not tried any new All Stars but I can tell you I hade to deal with there customer support and it SUCKS !!!!!!!!!! :'(. I wont get into it but just based off of how it went down I am now switching over to Kistler and getting rid of all of my All Stars. Please dont think I am knocking the rod itself which I am not but I hope you dont have to deal with there customer suport. IMO its worth paying a little more to get a better warrenty, i.e. shimano, St.Croix, Kistler, Powell. JMO
  13. The Cranin Stik by BPS is graphite and fiberglass blend. I like it alot I have used better but for what I do with it, its perfect. I dont do a ton of crank baiting but its there if I need it and when I am using it I have no complaints about it.
  14. Shimano Citica $120 with $30 Manufacture Rebate. Cant beat the real for 120 let alone 80.
  15. Curado you wont be disappointed at all, I love mine. I also have all stars and HATE them. If you are looking at St. Croix Avids, go for it great rod and would make a great combo. Just all depends on your budget. I am making the switch from all star to kistler and possably Powell, or St. Croix. Michbass on this forum has a ton of St.Croix and loves them. Keep us posted.
  16. It also depends on what you plan on throwing with it. I use mine to trow weightless senkos and light jigs. But if you dont plan on trowing light tackle save your money and jst get a curado 100. Very Very Smooth and cast great but not as good withthe light stuff. Just my opinion. But if you do get it you surely wont be dissappointed. Drag is on the light side but a $6 Carbontex washer and you gain about 2lbs on the drag and its perfect. Good luck.
  17. One thing to think about is if you mount your fish finder transducer to the TM. You haveto take the transducer off or run the tire in a way that you can pull it away from the screen easily.
  18. I got 7 Jonny Morris Reel covers off of ebay and they fit the Shimano 100 style reels ( curado, citica, chronarch 50mg ), Older Chronarchs, and the Sol perfectly. They are thick and the velcro actually holds together. I am looking for more. They do not fit the Zillions.
  19. I seen one on the web before that hold six rods and goes across the rear of the deck alowing you to still open the rear hatch. Idont know if that is the one your looking for or not. But if I can find it I will post a link.
  20. I had the same issue so I took out 4 of the expanding nuts that it came with and just put bolts with a big washer and lock nut on the back side and it is solid as a rock.
  21. Ya Michbass and I are heading over on Saturday morning and going to make a dat out of it.
  22. I used to maek boat covers for 8 years and its probably just rotted. Cotton covers can rot just sitting and getting moisture over time. Also UV can rot it. It sounds like your just going to have to get a new cover. Personally I would go and have a cover made to fit custom they will last much longer and actually protect you boat better. I am making my cover next week for a cost of $35 dollars for materials my old boss had a good deal on a lot of material so I am getting a $12 a yrd material for $2 a yrd. So check you local canvas shops and see. Of course I have to pattern ans sew it but I love doing that anyways.
  23. 1st what kind of materials is it? 2nd can you pinch the materials togather and tear it like apiece of paper, if so its rotted and wont be worth fixing it. more than likely its rotted if you ahve several holes. Might have to get a new one. If its not rotted and still is good take it to a trim shop and they can put some patches on it.
  24. Do you have any pics of it yet ? let me know if you find any info on the boat.
  25. Heck with my fat ars I could go weeks with out eating. I usually always have a couple bottles of water stops the hunger but If I really get hungery I just call the wife and have her make me a sandwhich and run home and she is waitng on the dock to hand it to me. ;D. When I go to different lakes I just take a PBnJ with some gronola bars and fruit. But alot of water does curb the appitite.
