  1. The Thorne Bros integration sounds like a great concept. I'm not seeing much of their tackle show on the Omnia site. Are they supposed to add the whole Thorne Bros inventory to the Omnia site? I would love to access to some musky baits already being a pro member. Thorne Bros shows 20% off on most with 10% off on some of the bigger items.
  2. Much appreciated, had to pick up some 3600 boxes for the kayak. Saved me from paying full price!
  3. Not sure if anyone fishes Clutch swimbaits but looks like the Copperstate Tackle sale applies to those too
  4. I see a Tatula 200 on Amazon for $136, left hand only. Right hand at normal price of $179. Seems like a good price for the tat 200, might throw it on another swimbait rod. on a side not tranx 300-400s are on sale at tackle warehouse for the fellow swimbait throwers.
  5. Thehookuptackle dropping the last of their Orochi XX rods at 8 am tomorrow morning (Arizona time). Priced at $199 for the whipsnake, shakeyhead, and ronin rods
  6. ALF has some more deals up to 50% off on select products. The old vanfords are on there. 3000xgf and 4000 xgf models are 30+% off with stock at the time of this post. Some zodias models are also on sale but limited options. Few other brands as shown below.
  7. Was the KTP sale only on July 4th. I dont see anything further on the site now unfortunately. I dont frequent the site enough
  8. Huddleston Deluxe are doing 20% off most baits on their website through Sunday if any of you soft swimbait guys hadn’t seen it yet.
  9. With Omnia Pro there is a deal for Metanium DCs for $299.99/ea. Right and left models available in 7.4:1. Typically listed at $499.99/ea, Omnia has them for non pro members for $369.99/ea.
  10. The wacky worm is likely my best technique. Catches the most fish for me as well as some really big ones. Yum dinger 4 inch. I mess with colors a lot: green pumpkin, white/chartreuse, white/watermelon, green pumpkin/black with red flake. I realy like the half and half colors. Depending on water clarity I may want a more visibile to me color that would show on the top of the bait and have the more natural color on the bottom. Works well when site fishing. I have gone back and fourth on hooks but keep coming back to the Gamakatsu finesse wide gap in red. Paid like $3-4 for a 50 pack. Hookup ratio has been really solid or else I would switch it out. The red wears off but thats alright. 7 ft medium slx spinning rod with 10 lb suffix 832 braid hi-vis yellow with a 10 lb seagar invisx fluoro. Not sold on this as leader material yet.
  11. Wecome Marvin! PA has some good waters. Im over in Ohio but enjoy fishing the Allegheny for smallies when I can!
  12. I too kayak fish but got my frog rod before that. I use an Irod Fred’s Magic Stick 7’5” heavy fast. Ive got a tatula 150 on it. Fishes well and casting distance is nice. i dont flip/pitch too often so I wont comment there. It could be a bit long for some kayakers but its definitely an option. Ive been experimenting with smaller frogs on a zodias 6’10” medium heavy fast with a zillion on it. Definitely better for close quarters and some smaller/lighter frogs. Just another option to consider
  13. Tatula 150 with 50lb power pro. I use an Irod Freds Magic Stick 7’5” heavy fast
  14. I most often use a strike king dream shot or the net baits crush/junior crush worm. Big bite baits smallie smashers can be killer. Ocasionally I will use a 4 1/2in roboworm too. Going to experiment with some of the xzone baits that seem to be gaining some traction.
  15. I will add in a Daiwa Rebellion 7ft 11in heavy fast casting rod.ure rating is 3/8-4oz. Id says it tops out at about 3 1/2. Fishes hard swimbaits well for me. Handles tiny klash/arashi glides which is mostly what I have been throwing in it. I dont hear much about it but it is well priced. $200 retail plus a good 15-20%+ is enticing. Nearing Levante leviathon territory for price but its a solid option for a bit less.
