The Thorne Bros integration sounds like a great concept. I'm not seeing much of their tackle show on the Omnia site. Are they supposed to add the whole Thorne Bros inventory to the Omnia site? I would love to access to some musky baits already being a pro member. Thorne Bros shows 20% off on most with 10% off on some of the bigger items.

The Clear Water Killer
The wacky worm is likely my best technique. Catches the most fish for me as well as some really big ones. Yum dinger 4 inch. I mess with colors a lot: green pumpkin, white/chartreuse, white/watermelon, green pumpkin/black with red flake. I realy like the half and half colors. Depending on water clarity I may want a more visibile to me color that would show on the top of the bait and have the more natural color on the bottom. Works well when site fishing. I have gone back and fourth on hooks but keep coming back to the Gamakatsu finesse wide gap in red. Paid like $3-4 for a 50 pack. Hookup ratio has been really solid or else I would switch it out. The red wears off but thats alright. 7 ft medium slx spinning rod with 10 lb suffix 832 braid hi-vis yellow with a 10 lb seagar invisx fluoro. Not sold on this as leader material yet.

250$ punch/frog combo for kayak fishing?
I too kayak fish but got my frog rod before that. I use an Irod Fred’s Magic Stick 7’5” heavy fast. Ive got a tatula 150 on it. Fishes well and casting distance is nice. i dont flip/pitch too often so I wont comment there. It could be a bit long for some kayakers but its definitely an option. Ive been experimenting with smaller frogs on a zodias 6’10” medium heavy fast with a zillion on it. Definitely better for close quarters and some smaller/lighter frogs. Just another option to consider

Current Favorite Drop Shot Baitfish / Flat Worm ?
I most often use a strike king dream shot or the net baits crush/junior crush worm. Big bite baits smallie smashers can be killer. Ocasionally I will use a 4 1/2in roboworm too. Going to experiment with some of the xzone baits that seem to be gaining some traction.

Rods series by Company : Hidden Gems, etc.
I will add in a Daiwa Rebellion 7ft 11in heavy fast casting rod.ure rating is 3/8-4oz. Id says it tops out at about 3 1/2. Fishes hard swimbaits well for me. Handles tiny klash/arashi glides which is mostly what I have been throwing in it. I dont hear much about it but it is well priced. $200 retail plus a good 15-20%+ is enticing. Nearing Levante leviathon territory for price but its a solid option for a bit less.

Reel Suggestions for Zodias 7’6” Spinning
Hello everyone, looking for reel suggestions for the 7 ft 6 in medium zodias spinning rod. Tried searching through many different threads but didnt find much for this model. As its a bit longer than my other two 7 ft rods I want some ideas. Curious if others use this rod and already have a reel that worjs well on it. Worried about reel weight and balance probably more than I should be. Not sure if a 2500 or 3000 size would be better. Been looking at Shimano and Daiwa reels both US versions and straight from Japan but open to ideas. Still looks like I can get some good reels for cheaper from Japan. I assume I will get a few voted for a vanford but want to take a look at all of my options. Appreciate any feedback you can offer!

Long time lurker, first post
Hello everyone! I live in Northeast Ohio and have fished a lot of ponds from the bank in that area. Started fishing when I was a kid but didnt do it consistently until the last 5-6 years. Since then I have been building my arsenal of fishing rods/reels/tackle. Searching the internet to find what suits my needs. This summer I decided to get a kayak with a motor and some storage on it. I can carry 7-8 rods when needed too. This gives me the option to fish some larger water and get a new perspective rather than just the bank. Its been a learning curve for sure but Ive caught some fish in the few times Ive gone out so thats a start. I have mainly been fishing Nimisila Reservoir as its electric only. Much easier for me to learn kayak fishing when that is the case. Open to new water suggestions but mainly just excited to start learning from everone on the forum.
