  1. Thank you. I already see some mistakes I have made. Like using a heavy wire hook. I have never made sure my hook was wet before I put on any Yamamoto bait. If you have to do that much because it is so delicate maybe I will use another brand. I will read up some more and make some changes and see.
  2. Is it in a sticky post?
  3. I use a 3/0 heavy wire EWG hook. What do you suggest?
  4. I have been catching fish with them but they do not last. They are only good for about 2 fish. They even fly off the hook. I even tried a Centering Pin Spring. Does anyone make something close to that but that will last longer?
  5. I was in a hurry and just put water on a few cotton swabs and cleaned everywhere I could and that solved the problem lol. It cast smoother and further than it did when I first got it lol. I am going to order some of Lew's oil and cleaning solution. Can you use just regular reel oil instead of Lew's (SBC1) Speed Brake Centrifugal Brake Cleaner on the centrifugal brakes? I would like to buy something that can be used for all reels or does not cost so much like Ardent or Penn. A local Walmart had reel oil and grease in a pack for like 2 dollars lol.
  6. Not yet I got the reel at the end of July this year. I did notice some green junk around the line guide though.
  7. I have Lew's KVD 8.3:1. I have been using it a good bit lately. Had to change out the line several times. I first had the centrifugal brakes set to 2 off and 2 on. That is what I have seen most people recommend. Opposite of each other. I noticed that the casting distance had changed and got worse. I turned off all the centrifugal brakes and no matter what I did I would get backlashes. I turned 2 back on and same issue with distance. I then just turned on 1 centrifugal brake and that was the sweet spot, way further. My casts were like they were when I first got the reel. Is there anyway anything could get damaged or cause harm from only having 1 centrifugal brake on?
  8. I have always pulled out the loudest lure I could get but after looking into it I want to try a walking lure without rattles. What is some good walking lures without rattles?
  9. I have had luck with dark colors in the morning. One day me and my cousin went fishing and he threw a white popping frog and got nothing. I put on a dark one and was tearing them up. He then put on a black popping frog and he caught 5 back to back within minutes.
  10. I have seen on some videos people talk about knot pullers to save your hands. I think that is a good idea, I have got 2 good spots on my fingers lol. I now grab with my shirt usually. I seen where they say it damages or could your reel if you just pull on a stuck lure until the line breaks. I think a knot puller could be used for that too. Do you have one or recommend a knot puller?
  11. I have been there about 8 times and haven’t had much luck. I have tried Texas rigged black and green pumpkin 10 inch worms. Tried some top water lures and some spinners. Would like some tips for fishing there. Thank you.
  12. I just got the KastKing Radius Line Spooler. I have used it only once. Not sure how long it will last though. I like the tension bands though.
  13. I got the KastKing Radius Line Spooler. It came with 2 bands that fit around your spool and you can adjust how tight you want the line. I think they are great. Besides being able to adjust how tight the line comes out I think it's a good option to help organize your line. Does anyone else make something like this?
  14. Hello. I was looking at a video using one with a PowerBait Gilly. I see that there are different sizes. I am going to be using them for that and worms. I did not know you could buy them separately for your hooks. I use big worms like the Magnum Ol' Monster and the 12-inch PowerBait Power Worms. I do the Senko-style worms too. What size would be for a big worm and for a 5-inch worm?
