Any tips or advice for fishing at Lake Blackshear - Cordele GA?

Featured Replies

I have been there about 8 times and haven’t had much luck. I have tried Texas rigged black and green pumpkin 10 inch worms. Tried some top water lures and some spinners. Would like some tips for fishing there. Thank you.

Advice for all lakes:

Depth <12'  weightless Senko and Fat Ika

>12'  3/8 bullet weight Rage Menace and Structure Bug

3/8 oz Siebert Outdoors Grid Iron G2/ Rage Craw trailer

No idea on the lake, but the chicken tenders are good at Perry’s Chicken at the truck stop just north of Cordele. ? Rooster sauce is the best dip for it.

At least you’ll have that to look forward to while the fishing is tough.

6 or 8 lb mono or fluorocarbon, 1/0 worm hook, 1/16th or 1/8th oz bullet weight and a 4 3/4" finesse worm.  Docks, wood and points.  From Maine to California and all points in between it works.

this setup isn't too light for bass?

I've caught many 4+ lb bass plus a 24lb 12oz striper with the same setup.  If you're fishing in heavy vegetation/weeds that's a different story.

Thanks.. I heard that a-rig is working good there right now also.. I'll have to rig a rod like you suggested and try it also..

     THANKS..!!
