Keeping the @Swamp Girl theme going... I caught my record numbers for smallmouth yesterday @ 56. Most of them were in the 1 to 1.5 pound range. The biggest was right at 4 pounds. They were devouring white flukes left and right, cast after cast. I actually ran out of flukes, and switched to one of my Karashi's and caught a bunch more. That was a brand new bait when I started, and now the paint is halfway gone on it. 🤣 But what a day that was. Got on the water at 2:30 p.m. Was supposed to fish only about 2 to 3 hours. Ended up loading the kayak back in the truck at 8:45 p.m. I just couldn't stop I was having so much fun!
  2. Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, and Arizona
  3. Fenwick HMG's are nice for the money, though I see they have gone up a bit in price since my purchase. I use a spinning version as my dedicated kayak spinning rod since I do not like to take my nice stuff on the kayak. It has been a great rod over the last decade or so. Lots of fish caught.
  4. 6+ lmb 4+ smb
  5. I don't really like fishing green pumpkin
  6. Well, so much for that. Guess I really do not need anything.
  7. When does the tackle warehouse memorial day sale usually kick off? Does the hook up run a memorial sale historically?
  8. I have more money in knives than I care to admit. I carry one to two daily.
  9. Karashi's work well in that scenario
  10. It's not too late.
  11. I would literally be rich in money, not life, if I did not have a wife.
  12. My account login still works but my wish lists did disappear. Sucks cause I had a lot of good stuff saved. Maybe a hacker trying to combat the bait monkey?
  13. We should start a group buy for BR fishing robes. Could you imagine the elites showing up with a sweet robe all decked out in sponsor logos! Lets go!!!
  14. My days when I take the kayak that is about all I actually end up using. I have three rods with me on the yak. Baitcaster for the spinnerbait. Baitcaster for the jig. And a spinning rod with a 3/0 EGW tied on for the senko and fluke. Simple simple.
  15. I ended up with one of each. I love the curado 70, and that price was too good to pass up.
  16. Anymore I use one color for soft plastics like craws and worms. That color is called different things by different manufacturers, but it is essentially half black/blue flake and half green pumpkin. Bladed jig style trailers I use electric shad. I do still have quite a bit of soft plastics I have accumulated in various colors, but really no longer buy colors beyond what is listed above. If not available in the plastic I want, I will resort to just black/blue flake and all white. Green pumpkin as a stand alone has NEVER worked for me.
  17. I dress like my avatar on a routine basis. I wear scrubs to work. If I am wearing jeans, I am wearing square toe boots with them.
  18. A white double willow spinnerbait, a smaller football jig and craw trailer, a senko, a fluke, and some terminal tackle is all you really need to catch a bass. The rest is just fun and puts a lot of damage on your pocketbook. I just dropped another $800 yesterday.
  19. The bait monkey has determined this is a lie.
  20. That is true, but I have a local sale for the 70 going that makes it about a bill cheaper.
  21. Well the application for this curado 70 would be a dedicated pitching jig rod. My other curado 70 is on my jerkbait rod. I like the idea of the smaller 70 on this rod as I had a curado 150 mgl on it, but just gave that reel to my son as I just bought him a new rod also. BUT, I was not liking how the 150 was palming for a pitching rod. Literally all I do with that rod is pitch jigs. And that's a staple for me so I'm wanting it to be super comfortable as it will be in my hand a lot. Kinda thinking the met might be overkill for that purpose. The other new rod is a moving bait and treble hook rod. It's a higher end rod, and the met b would pair very nicely. I'm just on the fence about the met b for a dedicated pitching rod.
