Couldn't have said it better.- What strength/type of leader do you think is ideal for throwing moving baits for pike?
I use nothing but wire leader for muskie- I'm Just going to say it. . . . "I Love You Spot-Lock"
My spot lock is one handed paddling in my kayak- Where to buy Shimano repair parts?

My dumby lure just broke that I have had for 30 years. I use it a lot in the yard. What is a good quality replacement now days? My old one was a tear drop shaped half ounce with a brass eyelet for the line. Got it from BPS.- Megabass Karashi Twitch Bait
New TW color on the Karashi released yesterday looks like a smallmouth killer.- Mistakes you made early on.
I bought a bunch of everything tackle wise not knowing much about what caught fish in my area. Now, I needed to do this to find out for myself what works and what doesn't. But the result is I now have a bunch of quality tackle that literally never gets used. Could have saved myself a couple grand.- WANT a new JDM reel…
I vote bantam. I like them more than the mets.- Hot fishing on a hot day!
40 is a great day no matter what you compare it to! Really surprised they lowered the flows on such a hot day. Would have thought the demand would be a little higher. How long total did you fish for? I wish I had a little better yak that I could venture into the big river with. I have the drift boat, but the yak is much more convenient.- Hot fishing on a hot day!
Great day!- Is there a better solution for using a snap with a spinnerbait than a little dental rubber band?
I typically always run snaps on my spinnerbaits. Never really had an issue. If the lure fouls, I just give it a jiggle or two and it corrects itself and away I go fishing again.- 7’6 or 7’11 swim bait rod
Long open water casts you want a longer rod with a longer handle. For short casts (i.e. fishing the bait in the same manner you would say a spinnerbait along the bank or around/under docks) you want a shorter rod and a shorter handle for more accurate targeted casts. Just depends on how you fish the baits.- 10.20 largemouth on Cayuga Lake in New York
That big dude can move around in that kayak pretty well 😆- Father and twin boys brand new to fishing!
Start small. Bluegill. Trout ponds if you have them. Etc.- 56
I always park and launch here. It's a tight squeeze with blackberries. You'll get some stripes on your paint.- Former Northern basser with a question for the southern/reservoir guys…
It's not pointless.- Let’s talk buzz baits - is the MS Cavitron still considered king, and if not what is? What is generally considered to be the ideal weight?
This is what I use recently. These things are STOUT. https://www.warbaits.com/shop/buzz-baits/9- 56
Big Ashes lake. Its that triangle shaped lake on the big bend of the highway downstream from where you launch. Looked like a mix, honestly. Some were tore up, and others looked like they hadn't even started yet.- Kayak Anchor for Recreational Sit on Top

It's another little moving arm/blade that makes contact with the big blade. Instead of having just the "chirp", you get a "chirp" with a deeper "clack".- Megabass Karashi Twitch Bait
Had no idea those existed. Might have to try them out. Which size is the same as the megabass version?- Megabass Karashi Twitch Bait
I absolutely love this bait. Have been fishing it awhile now, and it ALWAYS produces. I have actually fished it on my 822dsr and my 6'8" mojo bass jerkbait rod with a curado 71 mgl. Both surprisingly work well. I didn't think the jerkbait rod was going to perform due to how light this bait is, but have been able to cast it well up to about 30 foot casts. The 822dsr is very well suited for this bait as it is very parabolic and works well with the small trebels. I would imagine it is similar to what the action of a true bfs rod would be. Yes, the bait costs more than it should. There is no replacement for the rear hook/tail. But, there is nothing else like it on the market. And it flat catches fish. I fish it both stock, and with an added split ring on the line tie. It might just be me, but I think I catch more fish with the added split ring. It does change the action quite a bit. If you have the funds, I would say go for it. It is a very fun bait to fish.- Favorite Bourbon distillery.....
My favorite is 12 year small batch from Sisters Distillery out of Sisters, Oregon. About $100 a fifth. If drinking normal store bought, I typically drink Maker's Mark. - Latest,Rods & Reels Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
