Just ordered a new reel, looking to try some new line on it. Any suggestions on brand and LB test for shallow to mid crankbaits and jerkbaits? Currently i think im running 10 lb berkley big game not 100% sure it's been on there a while lol.

Looking for a decent one for around $150 or less. Color does not matter to me, Nor does the brand really. I just want the best features for the price, and accuracy on showing bottom structure, small baitfish, etc. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

I recently stopped using clips just to force me to not change lures every 10 seconds. I cant say for sure it caught me more fish but i do feel the action better through my rod with the line attached directly to my lure.

It looked good in the video. Might be a good lure.

I love mine, I have the 2500 model. I use it for pretty much the same application, Holds enough line for me.

Daiwa Advantage has done me good for the 2 seasons I have owned it. No experience with the Quantium though.

I have the 6'8 model for soft plastics, it's a great rod. Matched with a Daiwa Tierra - Honestly it's an amazing reel, and it's fairly cheap.

I have not tried one yet but just got a med diving one today in the mail. Physically looks like an awesome bait. Can't wait for the ice to melt >

Thanks for the idea, In the end i might end up just getting something like that. But i also liked the idea of adding waypoints, planning trips from a full pc screen to transfer to my handheld gps.

I read and hear all over that in order to get solid strikes on crankbaits you must first bump them into cover or run them in contact with the bottom. Is this true in all cases? Anyone ever have any luck just running them just above bottom or mid level with no contact? Just curious.

Im looking into something where I can view my Navionics chips on my pc. When looking around the net i hear a lot of complaints about older NavPlanner software. (And the price is pretty crazy, considering you had to buy a card in the first place at a high cost IMHO) Is it actually a good program to use? Fairly easy to use? Any other options out there, Possibly cheaper?

My ipod earbuds have been messing up too long for me now. Im looking into a quality pair of in ear headphones. Does anyone know any worth looking at? I tried the bose ones, great sound but not quite sold on them just yet.

Im sure if you contact St. Croix they would help you with your problem. I did a rod upgrade, and a rod repair with ease through them. They always seems to do the best to help me out.

Looking at getting a new reel for next year. As of right now im looking at a 6:3:1 Zillion, Kinda waiting for a online deal. Just wondering how they compare to the Fuego, and Sol reels? They are all pretty close in price, Any strong pro's or con's for each? Also any others I should look at? Looking to spend $200 ish.
